Russian Orthodox congregation building new church in Bolingbroke
By Liz Fabian

A swath of early-evening sunlight washed through the front doors as church council members toured their new Russian Orthodox church being built in Bolingbroke.
"Every time we come, we just start smiling," said council member Gary Cox of Barnesville.
The small congregation of about a dozen families, who travel from all over Middle Georgia, has plenty to smile about. Their new church is rising up from the dreams of their forefathers in faith. continued ...

Actually, it is an American Church, brought to us by Russia (and other Eastern Christians), but otherwise a good article IMO. We are planning to have more articles as we progress as a member of the community.

Oblio,
How far is that from Sylvania? I think my niece may be visiting there. |

162 miles. A little far.
Too bad, I was excited that perhaps our newest visitor was connected with a fellow CF member.
Of course, we always love visitors, even from out of area, and have had several stop by on the way through town to their final destination or while visiting the area. There is also the consecration next year with our Bishop that would be a good road trip to make.

I guess it must be a different one, I'll have to ask her. She's married, with 2 children, if that rings a bell.
I'm trying to get her online here. |
