Summer!

yesterday i smelt smoke in the air, (and in the shopping centre too). Some people said it was backburning (sorry for not watching the news yesterday!)

i hope this summer won't be like the last one. oh yeah, and there was a bit of rain in the morning, like 2 min shower...

i'm thinking more along the lines of last summer was bad because i live in canberra and 400 homes were destroyed in one day because of the bushfires....

yeah well i don't mean to brush you off or anything, i know you get bad bushfires in sydney, but you get them a lot.
canberra hasn't had a major one in decades. so it was kind of a shock. it was also a big shock for me because on january 18 i was on the way back from this christian youth camp i was on...the cops wouldn't let us back into canberra cos of the fires...we spent the night of the floor of a church in cooma. it was quite distressing....

true. i just love when you can feel summer coming, and everything that goes with it, like cricket, iceblocks and waterfights!
