people often see me as one having these qualities, but i don't feel as if i am acting this way, because i act them out, but my heart lacks sincerity.... it's rather like a person doing it out of politeness and tradition, than doing it out of what's from the heart. This verse, along with many others, encourage me to carry out these qualities from the inside.
I really like that. I found that for me, compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, came only after a really bad trial. I had the motions but not the heart (if you know what I mean). But I was purged in my trial. But more than that, I came out like gold as job said. I gained these things because of what I suffered. The saying is true that you have to walk a mile in anothers shoes before you can know what they feel like.
I hope we can both grow in God. But just some advice: When the trials hit, lets keep our trust in God. |

yeah, it's kind of ironic that one cannot (well, maybe not, but just more difficult) grow as much during good time. I mean, you would want good time to come right?
*agree* with the trusting in God part; but that can be difficult too..
oh well, it's a continuous life long search.

LOL, Agreed. Life long search. Thats why our life isn't long lol. It can indeed be hard to trust in God at times...but ya know, I found that as time goes by and I see the things He does it gets easy. The trial I went through is one I seen many go through, but only few have come out. Like Job, I wondered where God was, and I had things hit me left and right. Unlike Job though I fell to sin. But I still had a need to get together with God. In the end I trusted that God heard me when I called on Him and that He would bring me out. That night God gave me a dream and began to pull me out. LOL, Life is good isn't it! I think I will make a post about that dream.
When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7
LOL, ya know I been through a lot of violance. I been shot at and all kinda stuff. But when I did as God instructed me in things this verse happend. I used to have something happen every week or day even. Now no one shoots at me, and my enemies have stoped their attacks. I am telling you, when God speaks, His words are true.
