I am more generous in that I classify Mormonism as Christian heterodoxy (along with Athanasianism).

That was an obvious mistake by Erwin. Mormonism is not Christianity in any shape or form.
Smith was a false prophet, among other things.

I think it is more accurate to identify Mormonism as a distortion of Christianity, but in the end they are still wrong and Joseph Smith was still a false prophet.
