....is so easily marred by the knowing that it has gone missing. I wouldn't know what I was missing if I had never had any. There is utter joy in having EVER KNOWN love... TRULY. It's a rare rare thing to love and be loved in return. There seems to be a LOT that can come against love's bond to mar and scatter it. I guess the enemy of Your Heaven has a fair stock in seeing love thwarted when it rears its beautiful face in his kingdom of deception and appetites. I feel small, out of control and wounded when I think of how utterly little say I have had in love's coming or its going. You allow these wounds in love's wake for a reason, I suppose. I don't see what it is, but You do. I have withdrawn more and more from talking about this. So, it lands here in my written prayers to You, Lord.
I used to believe that You would heal me. Now, I believe that You plan to leave me like this. I guess there is a purpose in me staying 'here' that I can't know. Not for lack of trying! I'm just stumped. I'm somehow more valuable to You in this silent, sad and broken way that You leave me. I don't know if anyone can see it in there when they look at my face. No one... except bigGunzMan and Hubbs, ever asks or comments like they can even tell I'm sad. Not that it matters. They, the 'no ones,' couldn't DO anything anyway. I don't want their notice. There are only two who could ever DO anything to heal me... and neither of you do ANYTHING.
So many thoughts that I can't get out of my head I try to live without you, every time I do I feel dead
And, that doesn't matter, either. Cause, I have to learn to overcome this very broken heart. I WISH and pray that I knew how, Jesus. So far, all the praying, pondering, journaling, crying, laughing, living and dying that I do, seem to have little to no effect. Nothing changes this. The same strength that made this love beautiful to me, makes it resiliant against extinction. The same love that forgives before an offense is even complete, makes me believe, beyond believing's frailties, during fearful bouts with myself. Lately, the fears seems to multiply while faith sees the hand dealt and raises the ante.
There is only ONE conclusion that I can draw after all these years of senseless resiliance...
this love is OF You and way beyond anything I've ever known before. Trying to end it is >>>boxing with God. So, again, as ALWAYS before... I surrender to it in tears, on my knees, looking more worn and sillier every time. There is no other answer. I don't know WHY I seek one. Each time, more wounded, I crawl back up on Your altar and wait. Wait for WHAT, I don't really know. I'm beyond tired of the uselessness of this one-sided love. Is there EVEN a prayer left that I haven't already prayed for this one ? If there really were a tattoo on my body somewhere, like the one on my spirit, I'd consider amputating it.
There has only ever been one love in my whole life that IS True... YOUR'S. When You are not manifest in the one that I love, so that they are manifesting Your loving toward me, too... there is only one road open to me... and, that, my least favorite of all love's roads... acceptance of suffering, sewing in tears, thankful heartedness at KNOWING what love is and servitude to a love greater than _I_ALONE_ am capable of... it's not even their fault that You are not manifesting love for me in them. That's YOUR choice to grant exceeding love for another or not in us ! You, in fact, are the one withholding love, favor and blessing through them. Aren't You, Jesus ?
And, there lies the question... why cause me to love, so deeply, for someone who does NOT return it toward me ? Is it really necessary ? I pray for them EVERY day... is THAT THE WHOLE POINT ?
I think I know why I never had children, now, Jesus... again, not for lack of trying.... It's because You knew that I wasn't built by You to live next to the lovelessness that children have toward their Mom's during periods of seperation and individuation. AGAIN, why the huge hunger for Motherhood, even still ?
You puzzle me, Jesus. Be blessed in my questions and amused at my heart to understand. Be inclined to show me the mercy of explanation IF it be Your will, Jesus.

You know, Jesus.... today You were yappin' me up about how very blessed I am to have friends who are around when they don't NEED to be. ... and even better, about the ones who are there when I need them !!! It all started with this song...
Being the soft-shouldered-burden-carrying-sharing type that you have made me to be.... I do end up with a good number of people who call on me only when they NEED something ....but, they are rarely there when I need them, oddly enough. The worst of them try to shut me down or out when my words or actions are't within their boundaries or plans for the day.
I've grown way too fruitful to always be spending myself on the 'takers crowd.' There comes a time in Christian life as we become more fruitful in You when the need for mature fellows, ... branches, leaves, bark, water and sun.... to share the work, becomes apparent in a new way. Okay....so everyone goes through 'spiritual infancy' needing a lot of extra care and attention, even nurture. And we all go through the period of 'spiritual teens' when we need to be accepted for our rebellious-know-more-than-God-isms, we flat-out need acceptance, though our behavior is nearly intolerable. Yet, when we grow to a point where we are spiritually mature in You, starting to reproduce fruit and birth new Believers, we NEED THE COMMUNITY OF OTHER MATURE BELIEVERS to share the load; the chores, the prayer burdens, the work details, and the ideations that become works. We NEED some of those infants and trying teens to grow UP, or share their leaning and learning burdens with other mature ones, too !!!
Thanks for the ones who feed needs and walk-the-talk, Jesus. Thanks for the ones who are decisive, action-oriented, KIND, FORGIVING and THERE .... ABOVE ALL ELSE !!! We're meant to spend a lot of time with the young, the broken and the needy, or we probably aren't manifesting You at all. You didn't come for the well or the enlightened. But primarliy we are not a 'hospital,' we are a team with a 'hospital department.'
You don't expect any of us to grow up on anyone else's calendar but Your's, either. Still, it seems, that for whatever reason in recently past years, I've spent too much time with those who were spiritual infants and spiritual teens or very needy ones... or worse, fruitless-hard-hearted-sucker-branches on the tree's resources who will never mature. I've also BEEN all but the latter of these, so I can be extremely patient with them, In YOU .... but, when my world is ONLY peopled by the younger Believers, un-believers, needy and grifters, I am in danger of a very dry dry day that shakes me awake saying, " Yo ! Where's relief, Jesus ?!" We can be in a desert, even among Believers, when they are all too immatureto feed usback! I never saw this before as vividly as You have been showing me, lately.
A Believer is a Believer, right? Well, yes and no. If they are all younger than me and riding the fence of the world's passions ....they can take me down, give poor counsel and have no stamina in my needs. Age in the Lord doesn't guarantee a manifestation of Your Spirit, either, granted. Also, sometimes, a baby-Believer has knocked my socks off with Your power.... so, of course this whole comment is generalized. For the most part though, the longer one walks with You, the longer Your roots go down into their spirit's soil... amen ?
Thanks for my friends....the ones with follow-through, putting demonstrative actions behind their words, while offering Your Words. The ones with as long or longer roots than mine, Jesus. The ones who'll seek Your Spirit for MY NEEDS. I've spent too much time parted from these meat-eaters. I need them, too. The Body isn't whole without ALL the branches, leaves, rain and Light.
When I fall back again as I surely will, into my spiritual teens, yes, even spiritual infancy, reeling from blows yet ahead.... thanks for sparing my soil from the exhaustion of those who will never endure winds with me, those who refuse to ever be a part of my solutions, those who are the 'takers,' those with selfish hearts, hardened against growing. Thanks for the patience of those who stand steady in the winds of life beside me. Thanks for those, taller, stronger and longer-of-root than I, Jesus..... and for those with love for me that You've manifest, with the courage and the faith to endure the bad weather beside me, no matter how long their roots are... the ones who love me, without second-guessing, who can't quite say why. It's really all about the heart. A heart to love, endure and forgive me as the 'second man manifest', which is SOOOO You. And, thanks for Hubbs, who bears through everything beside me like I do for him, and he's only half my spiritual age in You, yet he's got the fortitude of an oak. Prosper Hubb's roots in You, Jesus.

So many tears, sacrifices, diligent duties, savings and prayers have turned GR from a dream to a reality. We are beginning the dream of the W-W-C verse, too, Jesus. You gave us that 14 years ago !!!! and, then again, last summer for Hubb's to SEE You anew. I remember EVERY Word you ever speak to me, Jesus. Sometimes, they take 20, 30, 40 years, who knows past there to unfold... Thank You, Jesus...

I spent way too much time beating myself up over Teknon and neglected the others You've placed in my walk. I continually pray that You will glorify Yourself through my life, that You will edify me and that You will edify those who may be impacted by Your Spirit manifest in me, even when I can't tell You're doing it. Empower Your angels on behalf of that glory, for Your name's sake, Jesus.
Thanks for a good summer, so far. Thanks for our new deck and the many blessings all around. Thanks for friends, family and the CONNECTIONS that You establish in my life, Jesus. Help me to be about my Father's business....keep ever before me the works that You have prepared for me to do.
This guy, he's such a gifted poet, and he seems to ride the fence of Pluralism. Jesus, bring him into YOUR Flock, solid, for Your Glory. That's a powerful pen and tongue...we could use him firmly on our team. He seems to be disillusioned because of some of Your kids who must be misrepresenting Your grace and Truth. Amen.

Thanks for the weekend just past, Jesus. Got a lot of chores done on Saturday. Spent some time in the bubbleTub and then.... We made Mom smile with flowers and a strawberry cheesecake. We watched Ed Kennedy's funeral and a Michael Jackson 30th anniversary show with her. She was glad to have us linger.
Sunday after church we had great weather ! I am still smiling from that post beachDay buzzzzzzz.... on my sundrenched skin. The water was awesome.
Summer's twilight.... that part is sad. NOOOOOO Summer, don't GOOOOOO!

But, frankly Jesus, finding You manifest in anyone at all is a total crapshoot ! Unless I am near Hubbs or bigGunzMan or SassyB or PastorP and then.... You pour out like stewed prunes, man.
Today, Jesus, You blessed me so much !!! THANKS for that. You gave me a chance to be of worth to bigGunzMan. He's already Your's and he blesses me often. Today, he sat right on down and told me that after watching me for 3 years at work, he doesn't know WHAT I have that makes me happy all the time, but he WANTS some. THAT WAS EASY....like a setup from some track or something....
I told him it's ALL You ! If he ONLY KNEW what I have been through in those 3 years and before... I told him about my recent mind-_ _ _ _ from my godson and the whacked stuff that Teknon has done to me. I told him how sometimes the enemy works OVERTIME to break me down so I won't concentrate on the work You would have me be doing. I asked him about the raffle that we have been planning to fundraise for the India Missions, what he thought about raffling off the vacation home that my godson seems to have declined as a gift..... ???? Yeah, I know You know what's up with that, but no one is cluing me.
He goes, "So, you just turn all the bad stuff to a positive ?" I was like, "Well, I guess. That's what God says to do, right? He's like, " Is that how you do it... stay happy ?" I'm like, "I guess. Jesus has taught me to do that !"

I'm so excited I get to share this with someone. I JUST got this." I went through the tracks on my MP3 player and played THIS for him.... he said he already KNEW that song and ain't it great ! I said yeah, we smiled and returned to the routine of 6 more hours of work... I KNOW him, Jesus. He is gonna embrace that conversation like gold. He loves me in You, and I him. It is GOOD. Thanks for manifesting in us today.... I almost lose hope sometimes.

I know we spend every day and moment together.... but somehow I have addicted myself, also, to these blog entries, too. I feel neglectful if I don't check in once in a while to post a prayer and reflection and thanksgiving with You on my focal point... JOY.
I HAVE been considering a new focal point, actually. Please inspire me with the next one, if that is You knocking. If not, JOY will do... it's endless in Your embrace. Thanks. Amen.
So, it's been a fabulous summer. Filled with people and connections, both new and deepening. I LOVE what You grow in my life. I really needed to release the Teknon thing to You, more fully. I am. You in me is. He doesn't return Your love to me or his Dad and he harms me... for now anyway. I sure stamped my feet over that didn't I. I truly never EVER loved anyone like that before. WE manifest YOU better than anyone I had ever loved before, at one time. He so GOT us, me and You, once. He's damaged himself with drugs and alchohol, so much, that he can't see that it cost him me... and worse than that, he doesn't care enough to fight for me anymore. WOW!!! That is still so painful to admit. He once was so gifted in You, Jesus.
Please embrace Teknon in his world and call him back to You. Love him where I no longer can. Heal his spirit from the self-inflicted damage AND any and every damage that my grief at watching him fall away may have caused him. HEAL HIM TO BE THE MAN YOU INTEND. Thanks for being You for him. He can run and leave and rebel til the end of his earthly life, and he CAN'T shake You. HALLELUJAH
I heard these songs today... they said alot about where I am at with all that now. Thanks for music. It heals me in the rhythmic prose of those gifted with the ability to capture the emotional contents of a moment. I think I probably take for granted how very much You occupy my thoughts and heart's reflections. Of course I feed into that with my MP3 shuffle including Watchman Nee, Thomas a' Kempis, C.S.Lewis, Joyce Meyer, Paul Scanlon, Dr. David Jeremiah, Pastor John Hessler, Dr. Charles Stanley, Ed Young, Creflo Dollar, Christine Caine, Joel Osteen... in between all those awesome music tracks You've allowed me to collect. I suppose that fact, that I choose all that to listen to, is what I thank You for. So many many people have no thought of You at all. And, many find You an after thought, or a Big Bad Meanie in the Sky with a Bigger Stick whose trying to tell them what to do. I guess I came here to say that I love You for leaning my whole heart into the very real love that You have grown between us, Jesus. I am sorry that I haven't told You that sooner. I think I take us for granted too often. I'm GLAD I live inside my own skin, where You rule and reign.

Last week, You set me on a trail I had no teaching on. You fed me from Your Word Yourself. I LOVE when You do that, Jesus. The sweetest of insights, and those I KNOW without a doubt have meaning and purpose for MY walk, in You.
It was a simple revelation from Psalm 78. A pssage I have read scoods of times... new Life popped from the page.

The significant passage that You POPPED in study with me, was in verse 67. This WHOLE Psalm addresses the charge to pass the Truth of God on to the children of Israel. The journey through the desert is the backdrop. And, suddenly, it struck me. JOSEPH !!! Joseph of the Egyptian fame, the one sold into slavery by his 11 brothers, whose favor with God was so exceeding that he was raised to the 2nd highest office in the land of Egypt. He was recognized for his diligence, his loyalty, his interpretations of dreams and his stewardship. He was favored and positioned by God to deliver Israel from famine. Joseph the practitioner of pre-emptive forgiveness toward his wickedly jealous brothers... Joseph of the bowing wheat sheaves and the many-colored dream coat offered him by his Father, provoking all the jealousy... THAT JOSEPH's tribe was REJECTED BY GOD to lead Israel. Okay, so, we've been in the desert lost for 40 years, an 11 day journey. Joseph MAY BE dead, these may be his sons and grandchildren that are rejected... yet, WHERE did Joseph go wrong!?! HOW did the family of a man that experienced such consistent anointing and favor of the Father lead a tribe that God rejected !?! That's a strong word, rejected.
In a Psalm dedicated to telling the desire of God to pass the Truth of Himself on to the generations to come... one does not want to be rejected after SO MUCH POWER AND ANOINTING has covered their life for so many years and chapters of the Bible itself. Hmmmm... did he rest on his laurels, Jesus ? Did he forget to give You praise and glory in the wilderness ?
And, moreover, JUDAH, one of the scumbag brothers who conspired to sell him to the Egyptians, his family is raised up to sire David. God certainly is NO respector of persons. Thanks for reminding me to leave all laurels at the garden gate. AND< thanks for showing me that even a scumbag jealous coniver can be raised to serve Your glory, in Your power, Jesus.
I'm guilty of all these things. I praise You for lifting Words off the pages of Your Holy Scriptures to speak to Your Spirit manifest in me, Jesus.

Lately, I have been very focused on finding You manifest in the people that You plant in my walk. I am feeling encouraged by the growing evidence of Your presence, QUITE consistently in a few of the people I travel my days with. THANK YOU, FOR BEING IN A FEW OF MY CLOSEST TRAVELING COMPANIONS. Not just in them, but growing more and more evident in them, too. WOW !!! Today, there was reason for some of us to work together to face a problem that has been growing in my life. It really doesn't overly trouble me, as You already know, but it was becoming a growing distraction.... and it seemed to be hitting on me at the most joy-filled times, too. Not surprising, just distracting and detracting from otherwise joy-filled days of recent past.
For the last three weeks, there has been a renewed RISE in the verbal provocations upon me by a devout Muslim woman, who seems to have great distress when I so much as breathe. She had been seemingly peaceful, for some time toward me, and I thought her attacks on me had all but ended after a few straight months of relative, though distant, peace between us. Hmmmm, was I wrong. The only peace between us came from a lack of opportunity or a lack of interaction between us, as I have backed off from her obvious irritation with my presence near her. I'm fine with that. I don't need to minister to everyone I see. There are five other people who You could raise up to see that she can be ministered to, Jesus. If Your only purpose in all this is that I simply pray for her, fine. Thy WILL be DONE !!!
Meantime, I will be here.
Embrace her heart in the warmest possible way, Jesus. Turn her bitter plight into a tale of Glory for Your Kingdom come. Introduce Yourself repeatedly to her. BE the surprise small voice that she suddenly hears in her multitudinous prayer life.
I gotta tell You, though You already know this too, I DON'T want to be the witness to her. She's harsh, focused to a flaw on finishing and perfecting herself. She prays to Allah and several times a day leaves the workfloor to kneel and prostrate herself to her god. She studies and sings the Koran and devoutly believes in the teachings that she ingests as regularly and repeatedly as I do You. I pray she comes face to face with YOUR LOVING GRACE AND MERCY. If You can't get her here through all the many different ways that fall within the range of 'normal' means, do the magnificent to get her attention off of the diety that she is so devoted to.
In the meantime, thank You for the powerfully anointed ones that You place in my world. The prayers are endless to see You born in all, dear and scarred.
Today, You delivered me through two Christian friends. FRIENDS. Good ones, the kind that wish to defend and deliver me up toward HEAVEN on days like these just passing. You put an end to this woman's 6 year reign of terrorizing and cowing people with her belligerent frenzy of words and high pitched emotional tyrades borne up in whipped up conflict avoidance. Today, those in authority over her told her the persecution and rude behaviors would cost her her job if they continued to be displayed. I kneel, humbled, to see that You delivered me, through those over me, from a chronic problem that has plagued so many others in years gone by, Jesus. I'm so sorry for them that they had to endure her. I endured her for a full year before going to the people who could quiet her. I DON'T like to be THAT person... still, You position me with these kind of trouble-makers often in my life's journey. Those "Icers" who snarl and fume ineffectively in conflict, greater within them than without... the kind that take over their environment with pouting, manipulations and, often eventually, disproportionate tyrades... I am a frontline player on many of life's stages and I grow only more dependent in prayer to navigate the trials and blessings that You are orchestrating to shape me, Jesus. You know I endured a good lot before I approached authority. Not with a request that there be discipline, but with a plea that they realize that I have been provoked for over a year, patiently waiting for an end that seemed never to come. I wanted only to share that I see the escalation happening, yet again, and I wanted their awareness that I was doing NOTHING to provoke it.
Thank You for the players that You have lined up to get my back in the recent spiritual warfare. Cover them, Jesus. I have a boss 23 years younger than me, who is YOURS and he is a greater man than I have shared the road with in many years !!! Nuture his growth in You, Jesus. I love him. THANK YOU FOR HIS HEART FOR YOU AND FOR ME. Amen
I went to a Hindi festival last week, as a student of culture and human nature. I went in Your name to learn of the people that I seem to be being called to more and more. I was prompted to attend by the sweet nature of the hospitable and generous spirit of the one who invited me. She has been a most gracious friend for so many changes in recent years. Last Friday I went... I wore the beautifully embroidered and beaded dress that I received as a gift from this same gentle spirit who invited me. I said,"I can not lift prayers to your goddess at this festival. I only pray to One God." She said, "It's okay. You can pray to the Father. Just come and dance. I will teach you." So, I did.
That same day, the day that weighed so heavy in my heart for my Teknon, I went. This is a coup, all its own. I didn't mope, cancel or be broken by the weight of pressing that You laid over me all day for the well-being of his spirit. I called him, he's still cold. I could feel the ugly right through the phonewires. He breaks my heart. What became of him, Jesus? Once Your vessel of sooooo much love toward me.
Anyway, I layed 'the disconnected one' aside and I went, I learned. I was blessed in the fruit of having accepted that invitation all week. THANK YOU JESUS. Thank You for the loves that bear fruit, Your fruit in me. Thank You for the people in whom You DO manifest Yourself. Help me to manifest You for any and all who need me to, for Your Glory, Jesus. AMEN
18What then is the [actual] reward that I get? Just this: that in my preaching the good news (the Gospel), I may offer it [absolutely] free of expense [to anybody], not taking advantage of my rights and privileges [as a preacher] of the Gospel.
