Does anybody know?
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
In these verses is the remarkable story of Jacob's wrestling with the angel and prevailing. We see Jacob early in the morning, and he was in earnets prayer, "stirring up himself to take hold on God, and angel takes hold on him"
Now Jacob isn't wrestling with God, but with an angel.
We are told by the prophet Hosea that Jacob had wrestled, wept, and made supplication prayers and his tears were his weapons.
Jacob kept his ground through the wrestle, and it did no shake his faith, nor silence his prayer.
Sorry mate, you can now see that Jacob didn't wrestle with God, but with an angel.
Now when we wrestle with God, when used in such a way, the only way you can take that is the same as saying, "you are rebelling!"
