Writer Batya Gur arrested for insulting border police
According to Gur, who lives on Emek Refaim Street in Jerusalemshe saw three border policewomen acting disrespectfully towards an old Palestinian, "who looked as if he did not know where he was."...
I saw that they were there for a long time, because I left and returned and they were occupied with their own business, talking on their mobile phones and generally enjoying themselves, while he stood there." "All I did was ask the policewomen for their identification details, and I was answered with insolence, impudence and verbal abuse," said Gur, and added that the policewomen answered her request for their information with the
question, "who do you think you are?"
NO , you are wrong, there will not be peace there until the true prince of peace comes, its written in the Bible, Read Zechariah 12:2-3. Don't try making this more than it is. The police have to be extra careful, just like the military over in Iraq, a friendly looking person walks up to you and BOOM! you are both blown up.
I agree, even innocent looking kids have to be suspect at times, you never know who's who anymore. Even your spouse can turn out to be your number one enemy if youre not careful!

The old guy was obviously harmless and the police were NOT being "extra careful." "They were occupied with their own business." But, the more important thing is that the Jewish woman was actually arrested for caring. In America, such behavior by police toward either the Palestinian or the jew would not be tolerated. But, when it happens in Israel, the fist thing Americans do is excuse it.
How is it possible for even a moderate Palestinian to have any respect for Israel when Isreal refuses to show even a minimal level of respect to a harmless old man?

Granted their behavior was wrong.....but are you joking...I wouldnt trust any palestinian if I were an Israeli....Give me a break living in constant fear of being blown up or gunned down! No way. The palestinians make no effort towards peace.

In spite of the attacks by Palestinians, your life is safer in Israel than America. So, why is it okay to be prejudiced against Palestinians but not blacks?
And, it is Isreal's fault that "Palestinians make no efforts toward peace." The occupied territory is kept in a state of perpetual anarchy by Israel. It's like if South Central LA were forced into governmental limbo by the US and thus they had riots every week, year after year, but you insisted that the problem is that South Central LA residents make no efforts to peace. There is no significant government in the occupied territory to keep peace, Israel makes sure of that.
Do you blame Israeel for doing anything wrong? I mean, other than not pulling another page from the NAZI playbook and using genocide as the Final Solution?
