Skye heard the knock on her door and jumped up to get it. She greeted Taura and made sure to check around. She was alone.
"Hey Taura. Come on in. My mom won't be home 'til late, so we'll have the place to ourselves."
She led the way to her room and sat down on the bed.
"Taura... I can't stand it!! My mom has betrayed our family, my father is dead, and now Karkaan wants to force our people to create weapons of destruction and eath!! It so wrong!! I can't stand it!!"

Taura tilted her head. "So don't. We don't have to sit back and watch billions of lives be destroyed. Ol' Kark is insane, but most don't see how outragious his plans are. They just follow him because he tells them that they are better than any one who isn't one of us."

Aden slept very well that night, but woke early in the morning before JUlisia. Aden stood up and stretched. He looked in Julisia's mirror. His hair was a mess and his clothes were disgusting. He tried to manuver his dark black hair into a managable position, but it wasn't working. Suddenly JUlisia's doornob started to turn. Thankfully, the door was locked, but whover was at the door started to knock. Aden ran over to Julisia's bed.
"Wake up, jewls. Someone's at your door." he wipered
Julisia slapped her hand up to shut off her alarm clock, but then realized it wasn't her alarm that woke her up. It was Aden. She tried to focus her eyes, but it took her a minute.
"Wake up, Jewls. Someone's at your door."
It took a minute for her to realize what he was saying, but then she heard the knock.
"Julisia, wake up dear. I know I told you could sleep in a little today... but this is a little overboard!!"
She looked over at her clock and cursed. It was nearly 12:30!! She looked over at her alarm and realized that she had forgotten to reset it after Aden arrived. She motioned for him to hide under her bed and went to the door.
"Hey Mom... sorry, I forgot to set my alarm. Is there any breakfast left??"
"Breakfast!! We just finished lunch!! Get dressed and come downstairs!!"
She was about to do just that, when she remembered Aden. He was probably hungry, too.
"Hey, Mom. o you think I could eat up here?? I have a big exam tomorrow and Ifigured I could stay up here and study."
Her mother nodded.
"But I'm really hungry. Could you bring up a bit more than usual??"
Her mother sighed. "Fine dear. Just make sure you clean up after yourself."
Julisia locked the door behind her.
"Aden, you can come out now. She's gone."

"Taura, yo just made a good point. Why are we any better than them?? Why should they be in the dark to this immenent threat?? Why can't we do something towarn them. What if we could convince those on the surface world to fight!!"
Jayda looked back and the wave and shook her head.
"Are you kidding me?!?! That's a baby wave. There's some real monsters coming in. If you want that one, you can have it. I'm waiting for a real ride!!!!"
