Leaving a Church..Why is it so hard?

That's interesting . They usually do something if they knew that the person was giving them money on a regular basis .

I have never experienced this when leaving a church with one exception which was when I was 15 and we left the catholic church due to me becoming pregnant and I wouldn't do what was asked of me I was banned from the church. What really upset me was after the priest knew the whole church knew and that was not very nice that was my business. But after that I have kept in touch with lots of friends from prior churches. It is sad that you and your family have to go through that!
