Reps: 19,241 (power: 30) | | Christian Symbols Among all the symbols of Christianity the Cross is now under attack by a christian entity (American Clergy Leadership Conference).
Should the Cross be banished from our Churches as Hezekiah had destroyed the brasen serpent?
Does the cross hold a deeper meaning than the brasen serpent?

I swear, if they get rid of the cross but keep the flag in their churches, I'm gonna scream.

I'm like you the cross is the place where Christ put my sins. It is where I was given life. It is where God died that we might have attonement. To remove it what will it be replaced with a <>< ? Not that that is a bad symbol I have one on the back of our family van. It just doesn't say it all like the cross does. Why I even glory in it.
1 Corinthians 1:17-18
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
AMEN!

Given the ACLC's association with the Unification Church, I am hesitent to call it fully Christian.

Hey!
A Christian entity????
by what definition? Just because they say so????
ACLC was founded by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon....
"As soon as a person believes in Jesus, Satan can invade his body" (December 25, 1974)
"I have talked with many Masters, including Jesus... They have subjected themselves to me in terms of wisdom.... (April 1965)
A Christian entity????
I don't think so.

The catholics love putting Jesus on that cross being crucified, and while his death is always a good reminder, that wasn't the end of it, since he rose.

Those that rejected it experienced a gradual development of complacency and licentiousness, culminating in what he described as an ”outburst of homosexuality”; when that happened, the society would begin to unravel. It would then take another three generations of deterioration from that point for the society to collapse. |

Reps: 998 (power: 0) | | | For me to see the cross is bittersweet. Literally.
I'm filled with absolute joy and gratefullness because if Christ hadn't died on the cross, I'd enjoy an eternity of being an extra-crispy human. But at the same time I see it and am so greatly saddened, because of the absolute pain He had to go through for me and for you....................
It doesn't matter to me if they take the cross down at a particular church - His sacrifice will NEVER be forgotten by me or my children...............
