For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8: 38-39)

Reps: 53 (power: 0) | | | Hi - I am so sorry at what happened to your Cousin. I will pray for you to know Gods peace and strength in this situation. That you are all able to find rest in Jesus, and know that He cares and wants to comfort you all. God is good and does not desire that he dies but that he, and all of you, find a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and that you know His love is real. I thank God that though his injuries were severe, he is still alive and that he finds hope and peace. That all he needs to have a fulfilling life, will be provided. He may have lost his legs, but that is better than dying and losing his soul - may he and all of you know much peace, comfort and strength.
I will be praying.

Such a shame really and I'm sure he's a great guy. Thank him for rescuing those people when most probably would have been too scared to do it.
He'll go through a range of emotions because of this change, but it truly isn't the end. Thank God he's alive and I'm sure your family is very happy about that grace.
It'll take awhile to heal, especially after losing all that blood (I'm shocked he survived... that's so much blood to lose) but as long as he keeps a goal in mind he should be able to do it.
May your family also be blessed... he's a lucky man to have such loving relatives by his side and don't feel bad about not liking to be in the hospital. I get really sad when I walk into a hospital... my Mom almost died in one after a surgery and my Grandpa died in one from health issues. So it's scary, it's normal though and alot of people can't stand to go to them.
Be blessed

Kyrie eleison,
Christe eleison,
Kyrie eleison.
I know this will not help at present, but this brings to mind a line I read in Dickens, when he is talking about something dreadful happening in his life. He says, who would we have this happen to, to save it happening to us?
God has given you this cross to bear, and it is a very, very heavy one. Who would you rather carried it?
This is a difficult question, and I know is not what you want to hear. But the very worst things happen to the very best people in life, not the worst. The worst people live lives of affluence, plenty and treading on those around them.
I pray that God will, somehow, find a way to turn this situation into a blessing for you all, and meanwhile, that he will be with you every step of the way. |

Where Peter is, there is the Church. Where the Church is, there is eternal Life. "The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has sown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father's role in an increasingly fatherless society"- Mother Theresa "But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killing of the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion?
As always, we must persuade her with love, and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Jesus gave even his life to love us. So the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love - that is, to give until it hurts... her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts. By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems.
And by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching the people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion". - Mother Theresa |
