Well Jeff, you can also pray to St. Jerome (the translator of the Latin Vulgate and Patron Saint of Students).

Yes, prayer is definitely essential. Esse - hey, that's Latin too! I just can't get away from it ... it follows me everywhere!
The fact that it is only the first week is my consolation. I'm not having much difficulty with the vocab, as that's just memorization (I've started notecards too Jeffrey), but it's the Sententiae that give me problems.
But it's only the difficult things that are worth learning, right? They ultimately provide the most gratification (grati - another Latin word, ah!)

I made a harmless, fun post and I know a little Latin. It slipped my mind for a moment that this was the segregated area.

Lotar is not Catholic; seems he'll search for you anywhere
Sorry Lotar, you left yourself open for that one

No, I just see her post in the Christian only forums from time to time, and I was just wondering if I had misunderstood her. I made a harmless, fun post and I know a little Latin. It slipped my mind for a moment that this was the segregated area. Ask a mod to remove it if it offends you.
It didn't, I was just making sure.

A little secret if you need help with the Sententiae, most of them are on the web.
