Who do you believe they are or will be and why?

I don't know if this is the correct place to have this discussion - please forgive if this is not the right place.

I like spelling Baby lon this way; I believe Baby lon is the total religious, political and economical systems of man.

Anti Christ or anti anointing same thing; if you reject God's anointing you are anti Christ. In other words if you follow religion without and not Christ with in.

I do not see Babylon as all of the man made systems on earth, because St.Paul said the law of God was written on the hearts of man, look at acient places that never had the prophets, some were very bad, like the human sacrifices in pre-columbian south america, in others you see men who wish to see God, Lao Tzu (the founder of Taoism) wanted to act be in harmony with the "Universal Nature" or the Tao, which is Truth Beauty and Justice, That sounds a lot like someone who wanted a personal relationship with God but did not have the advantages of the the Prophets or the Torah.

I think Babylon is a specific institution, that may or may not be around now. it will appear eccuminical in nature and will try to clothe itself in the trapings of Christianity, if the end times are soon it would definalty play up the "new and improved" gimmik to trick people or gnostic gosples that were recently discovered, though if it is not for some time now then who knows what the culteral trends of the next age will be.

Secularization, and those who dismiss or deny Christ's Diety.

well geographically speaking... Babylon is in modern day Iraq... so unless New York has shifted say 10000 miles east, its a little far off course

Mystery Babylon is not babylon in Iraq.
Where is the military, economic and religous power in Babylon or the whole of Iraq for that matter.

When most people ask about the antichrist they are usually referring to the man of sin. Biblically anyone that denies Jesus is The Christ is antichrist. As for Mystery Babylon, Scripture tells us that it is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth. It is also one of the, if not the, richest great cities on earth at that time. It governs over people out of many nations that speak different languages. Cross referencing with Daniel it also appears to be a great military power. The merchants of Mystery Babylon are the great men of the earth. Specifically it appears to be the last great controlling power in the world before Christ returns. It started with Babylon. God revealed to Nebuchadnezzar the great kingdoms of the earth that He would give dominion to right down to when there would be many kingdoms in the world. God revealed that it was during the time of these kingdoms that He would set up His kingdom.

Not to be confused with Mystery Babylon is the 4th and last beast of Daniel to rise. From this last nation or kingdom comes the little horn or man of sin. He is a destroyer and it appears will bring the world to the brink of extinction. Christ tells us that the time will be so bad that if He did not return to stop it no flesh would be saved.
