I have been trying some new authors lately to try and find some entertaining and yet "clean" authors. What I mean is, not a lot of cuss words or sexual stuff in the novels. So far, I have found Jill Churchill and Marcia Muller and J.A. Jance and some others. I also started reading recently, Ann Purser. I also have in the past read Sue Grafton, but I have read all her stuff now.
Any recommendations out there along the lines of these authors?
Agatha Christie is great.....Hercule Perot and Miss Marple and such.
If you like something more modern I like Elizabeth Peters....especially her Amelia Peabody stuff its sort of like a female Indiana Jones with a mystery. She has tons of books so if you like them it should last you a while

Yes, I have tried Elizabeth Peters before. (I don't think that is her real name actually) I will try her again.
I think going with some of the older authors would be best
Dorothy L Sayers is quite awesome. And I read a lot of "The Cat Who..." books in middle school, but I can't remember the author. I can't guarantee how clean they are either, because I think anything too inappropriate would have gone over my head. The worst thing I remember is the main guy getting flashed by a drunk lady. But I did enjoy them for what it's worth

I agree with everything you said. These are two of my favourite authors.

Did you read any of her Amelia Peabody books? I've read some of her others, but enjoyed the Amelia books the most. Amelia is an awesome character.
You're right, her real name is Barbara Mertz, and she writes under the names Elizabeth Peters (her children's names are Elizabeth and Peter) and Barbara Michaels. EP is more for the mysteries, while BM is kind of gothic horror, but not in a graphic way. They're quite good, but can deal with supernatural themes. She actually has a Ph.D. in Egyptology, so the detail in the Amelia series is fantastic.

"The review team was surprised that in spite of the large number of studies carried out over several decades there is a dearth of reliable evidence with which to inform policy. Until high quality studies are undertaken providing more definite evidence, there will continue to be legitimate scientific controversy over the likely effects and costs of water fluoridation."
