Reps: 10,377 (power: 17) | | | I know I'm supposed to witness to a girl in my school. I asked God what to say to her and I opened the Bible to the 1st and 2nd book of Psalm. I did it again, I asked and opened it and landed on Psalm 1&2. I did it again, and I landed on Psalm 1 and Psalm 2. So, apparently I'm supposed to say something to her that's in those verses. Here's what they say:
Psalm 1: 1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 2: 1 Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, 3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.” 4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision. 5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure: 6 “Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.” 7 “I will declare the decree:
The LORD has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You. 8 Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession. 9 You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’” 10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth. 11 Serve the LORD with fear,
And rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Reps: 3,359 (power: 8) | | | I told a couple of younger guys about this experience tonight.
I think alot of this belongs to the younger generation. If your in your 20's, you've got some choices to make. I see a movement towards this realization that things are bigger than us. I have a new, profound hope for us. If the younger generation can accept this, then, I don't know, maybe.
I can tell you, God and I talked tonight. He is so wonderful. He loves us all. Christian, Islam, Buhdda, all of us. I don't know. I'm feeling God's forgiveness. I don't know. I'll sleep on it, He's so wonderful.
Holy, Holy, Holy
My Lord, I am a sinner
As a sinner, I ask you
Reveal your Holy Spirit
So that the blind may see,
And the mute may speak,
and the deaf, may hear.
My Lord, I am a sinner.
Raise me, to be you pedestal
So that I may wash YOUR feet.
Am En El Alu IAH

Reps: 10,377 (power: 17) | | | I found out my calling was to preach back in March. The Holy Spirit filled my body and my love for the Almighty God was so strong that I was shaking and crying. I'm 14 years old. I feel very soon I'm about to start preaching to kids in my school. I feel like I'm getting less scared. In all my poems and writing projects in English class lately, I've been talking about God. I made a poem of how with faith, you can get what you ask for and gave two Bible passages. |

Do not know. I am 36. As for as irrigating Africa or something, that sounds nice... though that was an unusual scheme spoken of in a Kurt Vonnegut book, I think it was catch-22.
Africa really, though, does not need irrigation. Surely, certain portions at the northernmost part are desert... but Egypt, for instance, is doing quite well, and even Libya, internally, does not have the kinds of problems so many African nations do.
After all, there is a genocide ongoing in Sudan right now. Irrigate crops or deal with the genocide. Let me see...
We pretty well are ignoring atrocities in the totalitarian Zimbabwe, for that matter. It would be helpful if some more Westerners bothered to study what is actually happening in Africa.
In Egypt, bloggers striving for Democracy there are being jailed, tortured, sodomized... for just trying for Democracy.
In Nigeria, Christians have been getting mass slaughtered left and right over the past few years... it is about equidistant with Sudan... both of which countries have a Northern Muslim population... and a Southern Christian population. Granted, what is happening in Nigeria is nothing compared to what is happening in Sudan.
In Sudan, the government of the North is in a state declared jihad to impose sharia on the Christian and animist South.
If more Westerners bothered about this, and the news bothered to be explicit in what was happening there... there would not be a problem. They did the same thing with Rwanda.
I am not even here mentioned the carnages in the just about every other African country on the continent.
Nor am I even here pointing out: the world is in chaos right now. The tide is turning, strong, against Christians... among the far left, the far right, and among the Islamists around the world. Let us not even bother to mention here all of the other seemingly countless groups which comprise of the forces of darkness on earth... the children of disobedience, as spoken of in Scripture, empowered through the Spirit of the Anti-Christ, the Devil.
How much time until Iran gets a nuke? How much time until the Middle East collapses? What will be the next big terror attack and where... and how will that change the shape of civilization as we know it.
And, if you note, in Revelation 9 and 12... unlike what popular culture teaches us... it is not just the arrival of "the Anti-Christ" we are talking about there... but the Devil, with all of his legions, brought down to earth.
Regardless of one's stance on the timing of the rapture... we are talking about some very, very serious problems we have to be considering... before we can even consider irrigating Africa or looking for the cure of AIDs in a plum.
...
But you tell me.

Evangelism is very difficult. One must remember that the United States, some odd 80% give or take, do call themselves Christians. Therefore, one must be very careful on how one judges other Christians.
And, indeed, every one else in society.
God saves people, we save no one. People are saved by God's grace alone. We have testimonies to bear of Christ, and we should strive to make those testimonies heard by people. But, above all, our foremost testimony to the world is not something planned nor forced, but it simply comes naturally as the Lord shows us His Light, so does that Light shine out to others... to unbelievers; for conviction, condemnation... for believers; for edifiction.

Reps: 3,359 (power: 8) | | | All I know anonymous, if we built 2 less b17 bomber at a rediculous $100,000,000 each, we could feed alot of hungry people. We give our gov. all this money, and they spend 25% in secret programs. If we are the most powerful country in the world, why do we need all these secrets? Bill said our government is giving us the shaft, and I'm sure he was right about that.
If you look on Google Maps, Africa has huge areas of desert. This is contributing to global warming because of reflection. Just greening up some of this would make astounding differences, and put more food available.

Reps: 3,359 (power: 8) | | | You see, people that have answers to problems are the true prophets. I wish it was all easy, but it's not. You, me, we're responsible for our future. What do we want in life. I say, what's happening now, is not the best thing for us. So, how do we fix it. That is what I'm supposed to propose to you folks. Reciting bible passages is good, gettin things done is better. Will you join me. I'm a hard working, God fearing man.
Fender, your generation has had a huge burden put apon it. I think you have guts. Go out there, and tell em like it is. And be confident. You are right my friend. Who cares if they like you, or accept you. This is what makes you special.

A true prophet of God is one who has been emptied of all his pride and is able to allow God to speak through him without any hinderances caused by the ego. If I understand Fenders desires, they are to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He has the desire to share Gods Words with others. That is the sign of a true disciple. Nothing is more important than bringing the truth of salvation to others. A true prophet of God would know that. The earth is in Gods hands. And its time (in this condition) is limited. 2Pe 3:10-14
(10) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (11)Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner ofpersons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, (12) Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (14) Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. |

Reps: 3,359 (power: 8) | | | livingword, you keep putting passages up that back up my dreams. I appreciate that. I feel your questioning my prophetic gift. Well, I question it too.
I think these are dreams and experiences that are worthy of telling others. That's it. They are from God, and I do have a relationship with Him.
Nobody is perfect, including me. I've always went out of my way to treat others well, and I've never denied God. But I've made many mistake in my personal life with relationships, and other things.
If God saves people through his Grace only, then why doesn't He just save everyone. No, people have to come to Him. If I can guide a few towards Him, then I think this will be a good thing.

Reps: 3,359 (power: 8) | | "8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise."
I've alway felt this describes my first dream pretty well.
