One the main tasks to all Christians is to preach to all nations. Everyone must hear of our Lord. |

God is merciful, and God wants all to be saved. Each person, at some point in their lives, or at the end, will have the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ and be forgiven. But no one will be saved by any other religion. There is much danger in, that a person, not knowing God when he dies, probably cannot hear Gods voice and is on his way to the fiery pit, though God calls after him. That is why it is so important to bring the gospel to all men.
Rom 1:18-20
(18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
(19) Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them.
(20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Joh 14:6
(6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Hos 7:13
(13) Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
Isa 5:20-21
(20) Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
(21) Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

3 If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4 he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5 and constant friction between men of corrupt mind..

Reps: 3,359 (power: 8) | | | This is the teaching of Jesus that I was following when I picked up Bill.
Luke 10;
25And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
30And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

This is good scripture, well, its all good isn't it. Doing good is one thing we are to be vigilant about. But it must be understood with the rest of the bible also. We must know and be known by God as well.
Mat 7:22-23
(22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
(23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. |

The normal way this verse is interpreted is that we, as Christians, are to see ourselves as the Samaritan, and I would not disagree with that interpretation. However, I think is is as equally important to see ourselves as the man that was robbed and and left for dead. And to see Jesus as the Samaritan. |

(20) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. |

5 Better is open rebuke
than hidden love.
6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted,
but an enemy multiplies kisses.
7 He who is full loathes honey,
but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet.

Reps: 3,359 (power: 8) | | | What happens to a murderer on death row who accepts Jesus as his savior. All sins forgiven? I think not. I think he has to go through Jesus, after death, and review the book of life. The book of life allows the reader to feel the effects of their actions, on a physical level, and a moral level.. For some, this event may be hell in itself.
John 9;
39And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
40And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
41Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
But this may be the most powerful saying by Jesus to me.
Matthew 17;
20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
I base my personal philosophy on this.

The Pharisees sin remained because their eyes were not opened, they did not recognize their God in Jesus eyes. They were not convicted of their sin, and saw no need for forgiveness. There is no escape from hell, and no stays of execution from the lake of fire. The book of life contains the names of those who belong to Jesus Christ.
Rev 20:14-15
(14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
(15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Rev 20:10
(10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
