--- I like old books. I have:
1) 1856 Popular History of English Bible Translation by Conant
2) 1890? A Child's History of England by Dickens It was given to my great-grandfather as a child in 1890.
3) 1871 Bunyan's Complete Works
4) 1883 Webster's Unabridged Dictionary 1900 pages long. It's Big!
5) 1859 Orator's Own Book
6) Goethe's Faust in English Verse I can't remember the date. It's in the 1800's
7) An old ledger from 1837-1850 detailing a town's transactions
8) Hurlbut's Story of the Bible 1904
9) 1924 Machinery's Handbook 6th edition
10)1982 first edition of Pilgrim A biography of William Brewster.
-- I was in a book shop one day to buy the 1883 Dictionary and came across this old herb book from 1710. The front cover was off but still there. I thought maybe I could get it for fifty dollars or so and when I mentioned it to the owner he said "That's two thousand dollars!"

“ And Jesus said to love the children and be like children. And He said, ‘Whoever humble yourself like this child is the greatest among me’. And He always surrounded himself with children. And that’s how I was raised to believe and to be like that and to imitate that. I don’t know what you’re trying to make out of this.“ - Michael Jackson |
