I love how they are ignoring me but are posting about it. Typical liberal logic and maturity. |

Well, personally I'm not a polytheist, I believe that there's only one God.

How exactly does this answer my question? I am simply wondering why God would be so petty as to exclude people from coming to Him simply because they got a minor theological detail wrong. It kinda reminds me of a joke; "A man was standing off the edge of the Sydney Harbour Bridge --about to jump. A passer-by tried to talk him down; he asked: "well, are you a Christian?" to which the man answered "yes." He exclaimed: "great, me too; what kind of Christian are you? Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant?" The answer was: "Protestant." "Me too; what kind of Protestant? Anglican, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Pentecostal?" "Pentecostal" The man got excited: "me too; are you an initial evidence or a third wave Pentecostal?" "Initial evidence." "Me too; what kind of initial evidence? Are you a AOG, CRC, COC, CCC?" "AOG." Now, he got really excited: "Me too; are you Premillenial, Post Millenial or Amillenial?" The guy on the bridge said: "Amillenial" and with that the passer-by, becoming very angry, screamed: "Die, heretic!" and pushed him off the bridge."
It just seems a little strange that a God who loves us so much and who clearly wants all of us to come to him would have so many clauses as to how we should love Him? It just doesn't seem right or just.

Umm.... let's see. I AM gay so that makes this easy, I'm going to go to college get a doctorate, should God wish it then I'll meet someone to live my life with, and hopefully raise a family.
Don't be fooled. His "follow the Lord with all your heart and soul" is limited too "follow the Bible but don't trust God because you don't know if you're listening to God". Since apparently if I trust God more than the Bible I'm a fool.
Good for you though! I hope you can raise a wonderful family. I hope no one tries to stand in your way. |

No wonder why religion gets a bad rap by so many and is the cause of every war we've ever had.
I would like to add on to what you say:
Christianity gets a bad rep for many reasons:
1) It has too many denominations
2) It is divided
3) People misused and slandered the name of Christ by having Christians fight Muslims in a series of crusades
4) Claims of scripture change over the years and declaring others added in, thus supporting the Muslim Koran that Christianity has been altered, justifying their claims that Christ was only a prophet
5) Christians themselves being hypocrites and living unchristian lifestyles.
All I see you people do is point fingers at each other.
