To me, those are interesting questions. |

I just happend to have a post by Lucaspa bookmarked about 6 (I believe) different possible first causes, http://www.christianforums.com/t43923
Check out the first post in that thread, one of the possible first causes is god.
As far as details about what happend with the big bang after the first cause, ask one of our people like Jet Black here.
From what I understand, it was an expansion of spacetime and energy, as the energy cooled it formed things that we recognize, like light and hydrogen atoms.

Of course, from those 5 things that would of been the first cause, I would have to conclude that God is the first cause, not only because I believe the account the bible gives about how the earth got here, but also because it makes sense to me. |

Currently science cant say much about things beyond the big bang, as all we can study and observe came after the first cause. So that is basically where science stops and philosophy or religion begins.
An interesting aspect to this, is that if the big bang theory hadnt been suggested, the best theory before it was the steady state universe, that had no begining, which would have been bad for christian theology.
Which is why the big bang is actually good for christianity.

God created the earth in six days.
Nothing is impossible with God, as His word says. |

If nothing is impossible with God then it is not impossible that he created using the Big Bang ...
Or are you saying that somethings are impossible with God?
