Legond has it in both Egypt and Mexico that these were civilizations that had been flooded out and the people move to higher ground. There has been some underwater execavation that shows the foundations of ancient citys under the sea, but there is no buried treasure there, so there is no money to really put research into it. They would rather go after the sunken ships, that have a cargo and where they have artifacts they can sell and make money off of.
Right now, underwater research is very expensive. But the time may come when technology provides a more cost effective way of doing this research. |

Could you cite those legends?
A flood legend in Egypt wouldn't surprise me, what with the annual flooding of the Nial being a necessity for the continued survival of their civilization, but I'm curious about which "Mexican" civilization had a flood legend. Or are you just connecting the two because both built pyramids.
Hey, I think Thor Hyerdall was a great adventurer, but I don't give him as much credence as an archaeologist. |

Sorry for the pithy reply, but in a nutshell - Coast to Coast AM is fun to listen to, but I don't put much credence in it's content.
From what I've read on the "city" off the Japanese coast, it's the result of natural currents. I'm assuming it's true for the geometry in India too. |

Maybe the thread necromancy is intended as a symbol for how Egyptians continued to exist even after the flood should've wiped them out. This thread should be dead too, but for some reason it isn't anymore.

That was not serious scientific inquiry. I was talking about Plato and Edgar Cayce and their belief about Atlantas and other ancient civilizations.
Recently there has been some talk about some ancient underwater citys that has been found, so that stirs up the old stories about legendary civilizations. |

Ah. I dug around and found the Japanese "submerged city" that I referenced above. The article states that it's most likely a natural phenomenon. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
