John 14:6 "I am the Way". The race is best described as "Christ Himself". From Genesis 1-Revelations 22 there has been only one Way and that Way is Christ. Before we could actually see Christ, God used patterns of Christ to show the Way, the tabernacle being the most striking pattern of all, which is the temple of God, as are we.
We have gone from the sacrificial altar to the Holy of Holies, from the dead and lost to the enjoyment of new life, in the Presence of God. God's unique Way isn't distractions from rituals of old. The way is the new temple; Christ within. Therefore the race is run within.
Pick up the pace and change your walk into a run. Running with eyes on the goal, we shouldn't be distracted. Our walk has given us the time to look at our religious background, to see the strength of the buildings and the beauty of the temple. But now is the time to focus on Christ, work Him into our being, making Christ our standard and all of us a reproduction of this standard.
No more standing still or being distracted by the priesthood, the offerings, the temple. For soon they shall be no more. No more shrinking back and letting the enemy distract us from God's Way. Flee to the Holy of Holies where Jesus Christ has opened the Way for us and has Himself entered within.
Amen

I think this was my favorite quote from there:
Heb 4:13 There is no creature that isn't manifest before Him, but all things are laid bare to the eyes of Him of whom we have to do.
Revelation is God opening our eyes to our intentions and deepest thoughts in our being as God sees them. Just as we are naked and bare before Him, we are laid naked and bare before ourselves after we recieve the revelation. Revelation is seeing what the Lord sees. Knowing what is soulish and what is spiritual is simple to answer when we have a revelation because it will bring us to our kneees. Whenever we're able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart, we are able to divide soul from spirit.
To be useful we have to let the word of God divide our soul from our spirit and give the soul into submission to the Power of the Holy Ghost. Even our natural abilities that are good and that can cause pride need to come under the submiision of our spirit and into the control of the Holy Spirit so that He can use them and they will not fight against Him. The revelations of His Word that He places on our hearts places light on our hearts and we need to allow it to shine to be useful to God. It brings us to the Lord's judgement according to His standards and according to our true self. Once the light shines on these things we will never be decieved again. We'll know that "this is my soul" The spirit and the soul are distinquished one from the other and we've discovered our inner self, some things according to flesh but also the workings of the mind, emotions and will seperated from God.The things seen under the light that are not compatable with or controlled by God will be rejected again and again when words, things, intentions of similar nature arise, and as we disconnect from these things from glory to glory the mirror becomes clearer.
When Paul saw the light of Jesus shining on him and realised who he was in relationship to whom he was persecuting he immediately fell down. As soon as God shows us our true condition, we fall. With every revelation He gives us in His word that divides spirit from soul, that part of the worldly self withers and dies. The impression from the revelation remains and what was once a thing of pride becomes filthy and evil. When we see it as God sees it we can only accept His judgement and His view of the matter as the correct view. Beneath the noblest goals we discover base and ugly motives and plans made for ourselves. Before Paul fell he had a plan for everything and was confident for everything. After exposure he was ashamed and dare not lift up his head. Scales have been on our eyes for years and when now we see by His light, the scales fall from our own eyes, then recieving our sight we arise and baptize the revelation into the death of Jesus, His comformity according to the revelation. Act 9:18
Romans 4:17 God... calleth those things which be not as though they were
Let's "name and claim" the healing of the soul and place our spirit wher it belongs with the Lord, building our new heavenly foundations and detaching from earthly things. Foundations that will stand firm in our walk with Jesus, being in the light as He is in the light that shines from God and reveals us to ourselves so that we can move from glory to glory. Having faith in the character of Him (that defines the Kingdom) which is the hope in the things yet unseen. In this world, living in the spirit, and yet not of the world.

I'm going to edit the thread on the breastplate, organizing it so the purpose of the deeper truths are first. When you wrote "Having faith in the character of Him," I trust you realize the precious stones get much more specific than anything we have in the NT. Plus, it gives us just the tidbit we need in the moment, which is why the orders are significant. (I find)
What I want to avoid is having a ton of dry, dusty info nobody knows what to do with. Apparently you realize head knowledge is pretty useless, w/o heart knowledge to match.
Plus, our enemy feeds on the dust of the earth. Akin to the good seed sown on the path, that the birds devour.
So to make the BoR thread applicable, I may just swipe some of the above if you don't mind. Seems to put things in beautiful perspective!
