It's interesting to note that Jesus as the only begotten of the Father has all the qualities about Him of God. "being the exact representation of God"
The bride, coming out of Jesus' death, not as begotten, but adopted heirs. Growing in glory to glory into His image. But not as exact representations.
Interesting topic.
I like this devotion today on the baptism of Jesus and it's significance
The Baptism of Jesus (1)
Luke 3:21 Now when all the people were baptized and as Jesus
was baptized and was praying, heaven was opened.
Matt 3:13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John
to be baptized by him. (14) But John tried to prevent Him,
saying, It is I who have need of being baptized by You, and
You come to me?
[Part 1 of 2]
If we would have a proper understanding of the significance of
the baptism of the Man-Savior, we need to consider further
what is the highest standard of morality. The highest standard
of morality is actually the result of the God- created man
(Gen. 1) with the human virtues created by God plus the tree
of life (Gen. 2), a tree that signifies God as life to us with
all His divine attributes.
In the man created by God there were the human virtues. These
virtues are in God's image and according to His likeness. In
particular, these virtues are according to God's love, light,
holiness, and righteousness. According to chapter two of
Genesis, this God-created man with his human virtues was
placed in front of the tree of life. The tree of life
signifies God as life with His divine attributes. When the
tree of life is added to the God-created man, the result is a
living in the highest standard of morality.
The Lord Jesus was baptized in order that He might live a
human life expressing God's attributes. Although the Lord
Jesus was a complete and perfect Man, He needed to be put
aside in order to live a life that expressed God. To be
baptized simply means to be put aside, to be terminated and
buried so that we may live not by ourselves but by God. If we
are set aside in this way, we shall be able to live a human
life with the divine attributes expressed in the human virtues.
He is the distraction of all of our thoughts toward Him.

Abbott New Testament Commentary
Heb 1:8
Heb 1:8-9. Heb 1:8-9; Ps 45:6-7. The meaning is that, while, in the passage quoted above, it is implied that angels are only subordinate agents, to execute, like the winds, the commands of Jehovah, the Son is addressed as clothed with independent majesty and power.--Anointed thee. Anointing was the ancient ceremony of induction to the royal office. (1Sa 16:13.) The meaning therefore is, Thy God hath crowned thee, with rejoicings, as the monarch of the mediatorial kingdom.
Ps 45:6
¶ Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
(Heb 1:10): And thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of thy hands. The Lord Christ had the original right to govern the world, because he made the world in the beginning. His right, as Mediator, was by commission from the Father. His right, as God with the Father, was absolute, resulting from his creating power. This power he had before the beginning of the world, and he exerted it in giving a beginning and being to the world. He must therefore be no part of the world himself, for then he must give himself a beginning. He was pro panton--before all things, and by him all things consist, Col 1:17. He was not only above all things in condition, but before all things in existence; and therefore must be God, and self-existent. He laid the foundations of the earth, did not only introduce new forms into pre-existent matter, but made out of nothing the foundations of the earth, the primordia rerum--the first principles of things; he not only founded the earth, but the heavens too are the work of his hands, both the habitation and the inhabitants, the hosts of heaven, the angels themselves; and therefore he must needs be infinitely superior to them.
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the first-begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Warning Against Antichrists
Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.
In the past God gave revelation through His prophets, but in these times, beginning with the Messiah’s advent, God spoke the message of redemption through the Son. heir. Everything that exists will ultimately come under the control of the Son of God, the Messiah

Colossians 1:16
For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
This “inheritance” is the full extension of the authority which the Father has given to the Son
Daniel 7:13-14
"In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

Hebrews 5:8-9
Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him
Quote from William Burkitt's Expository Notes
Heb 2:10
Observe 1.
The gracious title given to Christ, the captain of our salvation; because the whole work of salvation, from first to last, our guidance and conduct through sin and suffering, unto glory and happiness, is committed to him. As a captain he conducts with care, he leads on with power, he discharges his trust with tenderness and love; he goes before us in obedience; in suffering through death, and into glory.
Observe2.
That God made Jesus Christ the captain of our salvation perfect through suffering; that is, he was consecrated and set apart for the office of a complete priest by his own blood, when he offered himself without spot to God. Every Levitical priest was consecrated by the blood of a beast, sacrificed; Christ was consecrated by his own blood, for no other blood would be accepted. It is called the Father's act to consecrate and make him perfect; but indeed it was the Son's own immediate act; the Father's by designation and appointment, but his own by actual performance, offering himself through the eternal Spirit without spot.
Observe, 3.
That Christ being consecrated and perfected through sufferings, hath consecrated the way of suffering for all that follow him to pass through it into glory.
Upon this consecration of the way of suffering by Christ Jesus, a believer's suffering becomes
1. Necessary and unavoidable; the head and the members must be made conformable to each other,
"Ro 8:29
¶ For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:"
They are thereby made,
2. Useful and profitable: Christ has taken the curse out of the cross, and sanctified the cross to a special end and purpose; hereby likewise all sufferings for the gospel
3. Made honourable; no greater honour than to suffer for Christ, The apostles rejoiced that they had the honour to suffer shame for his name.
"Ac 5:41
They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the Name."
And lastly, sufferings hereby are made safe to the sons of God, yea, more safe than prosperity by far. Gold is not consumed, but improved and preserved in the furnace.
Observe, 4.
That such is the merit and desert of sin, and such the immutability and severity of the justice of God, that there was no way possible to bring sinners unto glory, but by the death and sufferings of the Son of God; or if possible, yet no other way so becoming God, it became him for whom are all things; and so expressive of his love and goodness to a lost world, it would have been unbecoming God, the supreme Governor of the world, to have passed by the desert of sin, without a satisfaction; therefore his wisdom contrived that grace should he exercised, and justice satisfied; that sin should be punished, and mercy magnified; that sinners should be saved, and the glory of God's attributes secured.

There's 4 parts to this that should be read as one)
Heb 4:13 There is no creature that isn't manifest before Him, but all things a re laid bare to the eyes of Him of whom we have to do.
Revelation is God opening our eyes to our intentions and deepest thoughts in our being as God sees them. Just as we are naked and bare before Him, we are laid naked and bare before ourselves after we recieve the revelation. Revelation is seeing what the Lord sees. Knowing what is soulish and what is spiritual is simple to answer when we have a revelation because it will bring us to our kneees. Whenever we're able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart, we are able to divide soul from spirit.
Part One

To be useful we have to let the word of God divide our soul from our spirit and give the soul into submission to the Power of the Holy Ghost. Even our natural abilities that are good and that can cause pride need to come under the submiision of our spirit and into the control of the Holy Spirit so that He can use them and they will not fight against Him. The revelations of His Word that He places on our hearts places light on our hearts and we need to allow it to shine to be useful to God. It brings us to the Lord's judgement according to His standards and according to our true self. Once the light shines on these things we will never be decieved again. We'll know that "this is my soul" The spirit and the soul are distinquished one from the other and we've discovered our inner self, some things according to flesh but also the workings of the mind, emotions and will seperated from God.The things seen under the light that are not compatable with or controlled by God will be rejected again and again when words, things, intentions of similar nature arise, and as we disconnect from these things from glory to glory the mirror becomes clearer.
