Woohoo our first split... I agree Ocean I will miss life on mars but I am told they are making a another spin off set in the 80s called Ashes to ashes and Gene Hunt will return!
I'm looking forward to Arlan ohanlon (Father dougal from Father Ted) appearing in the next episode.
Happy belated birthday by the way Ocean!

Reason: because Emily Pankhurst now has a laser spanner!

That's great news! And another David Bowie title too! (I'm by way of being a big Bowie fan as well as a fan of the Bard! I'm getting spoilt lately!) I can't imagine enjoying it quite as much as Life on Mars, the 70's was my formative decade, but nevertheless it'll be great to get nostalgic about the 80's! Something else to look forward to!
BTW, Doctor, how does the headdress look?

I quite agree, but I think they went a bit overboard with the social comentary. It's not so bad for me, I can't even drive.
I prefered the interpersonal bits to the overall plot, though. It's kind of a shame we already knew what the Face was going to say, though.
