i don't really think its video games itself just the idea of murder
if anything video games somewhat helps me because well i get bugged allot by other kids well instead of being [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]ed video games help me forget but the positive thing is that usually when people get to know me they stop teasing me start being my friend
but the only reason why i am his friend is that maybe if he had more Christian influences he would convert maybe?
i heard of a story of a woman who has an atheist husband every time she goes to church she asks if she wants to go after 20 years he finally went and he converted (not the exact way i heard it but the way i remember) |

It sounds like you are taking them too seriously for your own good. I would either change my outlook, or stop playing the games. Friend or not, he needs Christians praying for him. Pray that God would draw him to Himself, because if that doesn't happen, there's no way he can get saved (John 6:44).
I suggest that you learn why you believe what you believe. You'll have a stronger faith for it, and you'll have a much better defense of Christianity when people like your friend challenge you. There are many books out there that refute the arguments atheists use, and of course, there is the Bible, which can teach you and through it, the Holy Spirit can change you and make you stronger.

That is the solid proof you should rest your hope in. Why? Becuase he rose again. He broke the power of Satan. He is therefore the most powerful person in history, Bible aside. Bible included, it means you should be putting your entire trust in God.

Keep things in perspective. God is God. He's not obligated to prove to you that He exists. The only thing He owes you is His perfect justice, and trust me, you don't want it. Do you believe you are a sinner, guilty before a holy God? Does the Jesus that you've read about in the Bible appeal to you? Do you believe He is the Christ? If so, then run to Him, cling to Him, like your life depended on it, and never let go. He is your only hope.
That's the gospel. Physics, history and science aren't what you need to believe in. Once you know Christ, and He knows you, He will become so real to you that it will trump every other reality you've ever known. I wasted too many years of my life proving Christianity from a scientific standpoint. Christ is the only reality that matters. All else is dung in comparison. |

For me the strongest proof is the relationship I have with God. He is real, He cares about me, and He is wonderful. So I trust Him, with my life and with what happens to me after I die. Just cry out to God, even if you don't "feel" it He hears you. Trust Him to take care of you.

Thank you again And also, don't forget that you don't have to listen to your friends or be like them to be popular. People tend to want to be like people that have a solid faith and are secure in their beliefs. Jesus loves you and will listen to you. Seek the help of your pastor and ask questions. The worst kind of questions are the ones that are never asked. |

Thank you again Tell you what is a huge boost and a natural high: get out under that big huge sky, take hikes with a bunch of friends, really look at the trees and all outdoors. If there is a blue skiy with a lot of huge white clouds, watch them as they change. Step outside at night and watch the stars and the moon. Feel the wind or even the breeze. Hold some leaves in your hand and splash around some water, even from a water hose. Aim it across some sunlight for a rainbow of colors, or just water some plants and see how alive and green they suddenly seem. You have that connection of life, with all the things created by your Lord God, who gave you all the senses of sight and hearing and touch...He meant for you to enjoy the world He made for you. Sure works for me. |

Reps: 5,013 (power: 12) | | | MoinkMan, I am going to share with you an experience that happened to me in which I personally believe is beyond coincidence. Around 7 years ago my wife had cancer to add to our distress we where in the middle of our house being foreclosed on. I was really hurting inside and started to wonder if God was there or if God still loved me. I was terrified that my wife and 3 kids as well as myself would be homeless. I was sitting on my front porch when an older gentle man approached me with some papers in his hand. He greeted me and said, " I'm sorry, but I am here to give you this notarized letter of eviction, the bank is taking your home." I reluctantly took the papers and tried to keep as upbeat as possible. As he was walking away he stopped and turned to me and said,"do you mind me asking you how you lost your home?" I went on to explain that due to my wifes illness, I had missed work caring for her and fell behind on my mortgage. He then asked," I know this might sound strange but...do you mind if I come in and pray with you and your wife?" I told him sure that would be fine. He then came in my house and as my wife and I bowed our heads sitting on the couch he knelt before us and prayed that God give us peace during this time. I felt the presence of God come over me and I knew deep down inside He was in control. As the elderly man was leaving I asked if he prayed with all the people he foreclosed on, he replied that we where the first in his 50 years. I then asked him,"well why them us?" He smiled warmly and pulled his shirt collar down revealing a scar on his neck. It was the exact scar my wife had for her thyroid cancer surgery. He then said,"I too had cancer and God put it on my heart to bring you comfort." Keep in mind I had not even told this man I was a Christian! Only God can be reason that this man who had the same cancer as my wife would be the one to bring us devastating news of our foreclosure. Instead of heartache and fear I was overjoyed in knowing that my father was still there. We survived the cancer and have a roof over our head. There are instances throughout our lives I think that we can look back to. Instances that remind us that He is there and He does love us. No one can take these moments from us. This is just one of many times God broke into my life and touched me. I will post some more at a later time. He is there my friend trust me. I have been a witness to His Loving grace. He loves you and will always be a prayer away. ~Tommy | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
