“Your sons and your daughters will tell forth the divine counsels…. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days and they will tell forth the divine counsels” (Acts 2:15-21; 1Cor 11:5; Acts 21:8-9—25 years after Pentecost. Rev. 3:20-21).
“God’s Will is that women, and men too, function out of humility, but do function. Don’t stop. Don’t bury your talent. Find the way and the place that seems good to the Holy Spirit and to you and the Family of God (Acts 15:28; Heb.13:7, 17), and is obviously consistent with the Scriptures. But do function!”
If you bury your talent, you are a wicked and slothful servant, even if you are a female. Don’t hide behind the idea that women are supposed to be absolutely silent and make no contributions to the Kingdom of God. That can’t be right. If you bury your talent, you will become accountable for that. Likewise, make sure your heart is very submissive. You honor the men and you honor their headship. Your heart is gracious and you are not grumbling and discontent, and you’re not grabbing and snatching and undermining. But, your heart is submissive and full of kindness and graciousness and beauty.
It really isn’t hard. But you will never know, unless you live life. If you live life in vulnerability, if you “bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the Law of Christ,” if you confess sins one to another, if you serve one another, if that’s how you live your life, “this is how all men will know that you are My disciples by the agape that you have for one another.” If that’s how you live your life, then it’s not a problem. If that’s not how you live your life—daily in public and from house to house—if it’s departmentalized into Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, then you don’t have a chance. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” If there isn’t that liberty, there is one thing for sure, the Spirit of the Lord isn’t there."
From a site I just came across. Thank you Holy Spirit.
Just wanted to let you know that CF's new Omega Team (pastoral) is in place. We now have a group of recognized clergy from a variety of denominational backgrounds available if you have a situation/question that you think would best be handled by a pastor.
You can ask questions in this thread... or if it is something of a personal nature, you can pm as well.
We're going to have the men handle male issues and women handle female issues-- so if you're a lady, I'll be happy to forward questions/concerns over to one of our lady team members.
Blessings!
Thank you father
I have been percecuted by an American company because of my religious belief as a Christian..
What can/should be done to prevent this from happening to fellow believers in the future?
I have prayed, and would gladly welcome prayer, but right now I seek counsel

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you.
I think there are 2 different scriptural principles that come into play here. Jesus said "turn the other cheek". He also said "be wise as serpents, but gentle as doves".
First, as to "turning the other cheek"... while it is easy to become upset/angry about what is happening to you, remember that you must show the love and compassion of Christ regardless. Don't allow yourself to become bitter. Otherwise, you will destroy any chance you have with loving these people to Christ.
However, just because you continue to be gentle and loving doesn't mean you need to be ignorant of what legal protection you may have.
Since your country flag says Canada, is this happening in the USA or in Canada? I don't know anything at all about Canadian law, but in the US, there are very strict laws against businesses discriminating based on religous beliefs.
If this is happening in the US, you should first keep good documentation of what has occurred/is occurring. One way of doing this is keeping a diary/journal. You should also send your complaints in writing to the management of the company where this is happening. This could be through company email, or via snail-mail (send signature required if via snail-mail). Basically, you want to make certain there is a paper trail documenting what has occurred.
Next, you should contact your local branch of the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission). Take your documentation with you, as you will need evidence of what has occurred. If you have evidence that you are, indeed, being persecuted for religious beliefs (in other words, you're just not an upset ex-employee)then the EEOC will start a formal investigation into the matter... and if they find there was indeed religious persecution, they will levy fines, etc. against the company as well as ensuring that your position in the company is protected.

If a person were to document harassment on cf, I was wondering how do you save just one post as a link? I've seen other people provide links that will be up a single post but when I try to save a link I end up saving the full page. Can anyone tell me how to save each post as links individually?

I'm not sure how a non-staff member would do that. I konw as staff I have a few more controls to "play" with-- but I don't use them very much, so I'd probably do it wrong that way too.
If you talk to someone on the Support Staff they should be able to help you out.
In the meantime, if you feel you are the victim of some type of harrassment, please report it to staff so that it can be correctly handled.
Blessings!

Thank you father Rick, that was, very FATHERLY of you! hahaha
The company is not a prospective employer, it is an Incorporated company who is a maker of video games. I applied for, and was about to purchase the game when I was told I was not allowed to recruit for the purpose of bringing together the body of Christ [into what is called a Christian Kinship], to which I stated my 1st Amendment rights [knowing this is an American company], and to which they proceeded to ban me, after seeing I refused to comply with thier demand to cease and desist.
Other Kinships' are free to recruit in exclusivity, inclusing those of 'Only accepting people over the age of twenty-one', ect.. Only 'I', it seems was singled out. Not that I was recruiting in exclusivity, only that I was asking for members of the Christian population to come forward for fellowship and fun..

Question. What does it mean to fear the LORD? Does it really mean to be afraid of HIM? OR be afraird of what He's capable of?

I'm assuming this question is directed at the father.. ?
For I can ya right now that oppression is NOT from God..
Tho God does USE these types of circumstance to conform us to the image of Christ, He most certainly is not the instigator..

Two years ago a new youth pastor started at our church. My husband and I have supported, encouraged, and stood beside him. We have a good relationship with him and his wife.
We inadvertently found out he is planning on leaving the church (one of his children mentioned it to us). Since this happened in front of his wife, we assume she told him we know. She asked us to keep this information to ourselves, and we have.
We would like to talk with him to find out why he's leaving a ministry he claimed to be so excited about. We thought he would contact us to talk about this, but he hasn't.
Is it appropriate for us to ask him to meet with us to discuss something we're not supposed to know about? How much privacy should we give him in this situation? I would really appreciate some input from others who are in leadership positions, thank you!
