Is it an insult to peoples intelligence? Maybe a kick to the ego?
I am perfectly comfortable knowing that we ultimately started as a single celled organism and are as complex as we are.
I feel sorry for people that have to feel so important and significant that they have to say that we are created just as we are because the bible or some other book says so. I feel sorry that you have to look past so much evidence in favor of evolution, only to accept an unfounded theory because it makes you feel better about yourself.
If there is a God, maybe he created life to evolve the way it has... maybe the folks who wrote the bible were too dumb to understand the sciences and just wrote 'God created man" because it was easier and people would understand it better.
I have seen absolutely NO proof that we did NOT evolve.... but much evidence that we have (and other species as well).

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Man and women (before the fall) were made by God to reflect their creator. We were given dominion and authority over all of creation. So to lower man to the status of an animal denys God, it is atheism if people what to accept that or not. Also, it denys the authority we have, and the responsability that we have that goes with that authority.
Luke 12:48b
For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
God has given much to man, and He expects much in return. |

It's a good thing, then, that the fact of common descent has been established. Wouldn't want you beliving things that weren't true. |

For being such close ancestors to primates, its rather odd that humans are the only species on Earth capable of comprehending their own mortality. I see more validity in us being a special creation from God, then just another evolved form of primate. No other animal on Earth is like humans, yet we are select, in a world seemingly perfectly fitted for us. I see creation in everyday life - I don't see evolution. |

What's wrong with animals?
