Creationism

I don't believe in any of those theories, I believe God created the universe in all it splendor and beauty. However, I don't believe the teachings of Genesis in the Holy Bible. I think I differ in this way from most christians on this forum. I believe the way God, all-knowing as He is, started the universe. I believe time is not an issue for Him, because He is all-knowing. Knowing all, means being able to predict every moment in time to come, because they result from previously happened circumstances, which He knows because He created them. I believe God started a chain reaction that eventually created all living things as soon as the circumstances were right, thus creating man in the time frame that needs man, and a time that man needs. With the best average temperature and with no animals that we cannot conquer (like Dinosaurs before we created guns). For God love all creatures that come from His creation. The problem with most creationist theories is that there was already an earth before He made earth and the universe. So when did He make the undifined pre-earth?

So I am in essence a theistic evolution believer, However I believe that way because I believe god is all-knowing and thus does not need the concept of time.

Amen Hawk007! Iam in full agreement with You on that But I have a question and I suppose I will get an answer to it but I would prefer a strictly Biblical one if I could . This is directed to all Who post on this thread, not just You Hawk, I would like to know how The Gene Pool remained strong enough to last this past six thousand years without making us all mentally Challenged or without having other physical defects of an extreme nature . Being all descended From Adam and Eve , just two people... Other than a direct miracle from God how may it have happened naturally?? May God Bless You all ....Dave

Thank you for that Hawk007 You have explained it to Me as I have expected and as Far as Our weaknesses, well I just thought that We would all Be sort of be growing another head or an extra eyeball or something not to mention how after this amount of time that Our intellect would have to compromised. The KJV of the Bible is a beautiful, poetic version but it's not the most accurate. Anyone who questions that should read James White's book the King James Only Controversy. The errors are minor and shouldn't keep anyone from relying upon it. But in doing so, you're not getting the full message. Personally, I rely upon multiple translations and commentaries. My primary Bible resources are the NASB, NIV, HCSB, ESV and YLT. I especially like the way the Young's Literal translation translates the creation (recreation) account. (I became a Gap Theory proponent after studying the subject in my KJV with Dake commentary. I also believe the Day-Age Theory may also have some merit, but I haven't spent enough time studying the subject yet.) As for commentaries, I really like the Bible Knowledge Commentary and Unger's Commentary of the Old Testament. Anyway as a newbie, that's my two cents worth.
As a side note, consider light, especially the light of stars that has been traveling millions of years to get to our eyes. Would God deceive us as to the age of the earth? Never! Or consider the cosmic background radiation (CBR) that has been scientifically predicted by the Big Bang Theory and now detected proving the hypothesis. This would put the age of the universe as 19.8 billion years, give or take.
