Do whatever you want with Iban except destroying Poinesta... Is Poinesta important to the rest of the story (after Act I)? If not, I don't see much of a problem with killing it off via Iban power.
If Iban lets anything out that's bigger than needed to destroy Anna's ship, Ethian's going to sense it, so make sure Iban doesn't do anything huge.
Also, since Iban is being transported from the milisecond before he was destroyed, he should have immunity to fire and fire powers, along with the rest of his powers, right? Mel isn't going to like that...

No, Iban's immunity to fire was because of his location, not because of the time. He is immune to fire if and only if he is inside the Worlds' Gate. Although, he's fast enough to dodge most fire anyway.
OK, I'll make sure Iban only destroys the time machine itself.

OK. Make sure he does destroy it though or he may end up having to deal with two Ethians...
Are we going to wait for Mewtwo? I can't wait to pull Iban into this, especially with Aden being there and all. Iban's going to have a whole army after him!

I started my character off with a mystery: Who captured him? Why is he on Poinesta? And why does he know next to nothing of the magic aspect of this world? I hope I'm still within the story, so correct me on my posts if I make errors.

You better have an answer to that mystery about who captured him. You're going to need it as soon as he breaks free.

*Natives captured him and encased him in some kind of... thing.
*Anna caught him for some reason.
*Whatever else works.

I implied that it was the natives...but not saying who, cuz I know next to nothing of the factions on that planet. Also, Tek is now on his ship...and is the sole survivor of it. He's going to pilot around, finding new temporary/permanent members. Think "Setzer's airship" off of Final Fantasy 6 (For the GBA)

It was completely and totally clueless and neutral.
Man, where's Mewtwo? We're waiting for him to post...
