Thanks, all the windows are now in, and the copper roof is complete throughout except for some trim. The design is about 1000 years old, many churches like this can be seen throughout the Republic of Georgia.

I am wondering though about the roof, that must have been pretty expensive, any special reason for the copper?

My apologies, I just saw this question. I think we picked copper for both it's longevity and its beauty (it is treated so it will stay a nice rustic brown rather than oxidizing). I am not sure of the cost, but it took quite some time to install and hand form on site. Some Georgian Churches & Monestaries that resemble our church.
