My depression seems to come in waves, like it will start to roll in...then get really bad...then will slowly leave....then later (few mins...or few years...) it will happpen again...
anyone else feel like this?

I feel as though my depression will never leave me. I go through periods where I feel really happy, but it always comes back; within a day, a week, a month; sometimes it can take a few months before I feel low enough to self harm, or have crisis help, but the depresiion never goes.
i go throught that aswell at times, i dont know if it is depression or just simply having a hard time, but one minutre ill be happy and the next feel sad
Yes, I go thru' periods like this too. I have been off my meds for almost 18 months now and these episodes are no where near as frequent as they used to be, so please be encouraged. I was wondering what meds you are on and if they need to be reviewed?

I have been on prozac for 3 years I think, and have tried several over drugs, but none seem to help it
do you have counselling? do you think that would help?
