27 O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights?
28 Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.
31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Psalm 33:18 (New King James Version) Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy,
Psalm 33:18 (New Life Version) See, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, and on those who hope for His loving-kindness,
Psalm 33:18 (Amplified Bible) Behold, the Lord's eye is upon those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe], who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness,
Psalm 33:18 (The Message) 18-19 Watch this: God's eye is on those who respect him, the ones who are looking for his love. He's ready to come to their rescue in bad times; in lean times he keeps body and soul together.
Psalm 33:18 (Contemporary English Version) But the LORD watches over all who honor him and trust his kindness.
From Mark 5 :24 - 30 A large crowd followed and pressed around him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?" "You see the people crowding against you," his disciples answered, "and yet you can ask, 'Who touched me?' " But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."
This woman heard about Jesus and she responded in faith by finding Him even though in those days it was against the law for a woman in her condition (bleeding and considered unclean) to be out in public touching others.. She had done everything else to be rid of her bleeding.. spending much and no one was able to help her.. How in these days even with all the medical advancements.. many of us still in the same boat.. Many times we spend great deals and are still left unwell.. I love that Jesus called her daughter.. how precious.. she had been mistreated for so long.. even by the very laws set up in her country.. How hurting it must have been to be called unclean when there was nothing she could do about it.. Although Jesus had compassion on her.. He said some amazing words.. Your faith has made you well.. Not that He had made her well or it was her lucky day.. but that her faith had done it!! This gives such hope to those of us who suffer and can find no release.. may we as this woman hear/see/realise Jesus ais the answer to our need for wholeness.. Yes wholeness even in bodily afflictions..
What was faith in this circumstance..
Having first heard that Jesus does miracles and heals the sick and believing on what she heard.. Coming to Jesus no matter what she had to do in order to get to Him.. Pressing in when all looked hopeless and despite the circumstances and people around her.. She reached out to Him with all she had.. and in all this touched Him with not only her hand but her faith.. We too like this woman will receive healing, peace and freedom if only we will do the same!!
Just reach out in faith today and you will receive your miracle too!
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Mat 11:28
What is this rest??? Trading in our weariness... and dropping our burdens..
In Greek means anapauo {an-ap-ow'-o}
1) to cause or permit one to cease from any movement or labour in order to recover and collect his strength 2) to give rest, refresh, to give one's self rest, take rest 3) to keep quiet, of calm and patient expectation
1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: 2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
