After Karthan finished off the Daishi he quickly engaged the several smaller Mechs around him. He knew that Federation troops would be on they're way to investigate to destruction of these Mechs so he re-stocked his ammo.
Jack ran after the huge mech. All the other mechs had already moved on but this mech was much slower. Jack followed the mech for over a mile. He ran from shadow to shadow as the Mech pulled away from him, more and more. No! I'm not gonna be able to do anything! Please God, PLEASE! Suddenly the Daishi stopped.
Once the Daishi sat down, the cockpit opened and a single human jumped down. He looked around for a second, drew what looked like a pistol, and ran for a tree. Luckly the pilot didn't see Jack. Thank you God! This is my chance.
Jack ran up to the Mech, it was much bigger than he thought. Jack looked around for the pilot. He stopped to pee? In the middle of an invasion?!? The pilot ran back to the mech, but as he got there Jack jumpped out from behind the leg of the Daishi and they began to fight. As the struggled, a shot was fired and the pilot fell to the ground. Jack held the smoking pistol in his quivering hands. God forgive me!
Jack climbed into the cockpit. "What am I sappose to do now?" There were so many buttons and levers and pedels. "Oh! A big red button." Jack pushed it and the Mech came to life. The glass infront of him lite up with lights that made a screen of information. (basic HUD)
To Jacks left a small holograph of his mech gave a readout of damage and other stats. To his right was a holo-pad for the enemy, currently blank. And in the upper left was a round holograph with blue dots and even a layout of the terran, most of it was black.
"Geez! What do I do?" Jack accedently pulled a trigger on one of the throtles. The Daishi rocked gently backwards as several missles shot out from it's rack. One of the Mechs a few hundred feet infront of the Daishi turned as the rockets came at it. A strange voice came over the com'. "Commander, Hey what are you doing?" The missles slammed into the mech and on the 'enemy' holo-pad, a mech lite up. it was called a blackhawk. The pilot of the blackhawk tried to ask Jack what he was doing, but to no avail.
"No stopping now!" Jack said as he pushed a small black button on the right throtle and then pulled the trigger again. This time the Daishi rocked a little more violently as the Ultra AC 10 fired and cut the BlackHawk apart!
Karthan saw another Daishi come over a ridge. He had aimed and was about to fire when missiles launched and hit another Fed mech. "What the?". It then finished the other off. He then got on the com "Hey, nice work. Are you a defeckter?" He waited for a reply.
Jack sat in the cockpit with a most surprised look. He couldn't belive what just happened. He didn't do it on purpose. Jack looked around the HUD. "These things are just too easy to use!" Suddenly another voice came over the com'.
Jack scanned the Hud. A lone red dots blimped only a little distance away. "Umm... Hello? Can you hear me?"
Jack waited for the guy to respond.. .. ... .... ...
"No. I am not a defecter I live on this planet. Who are you? Where are you? How do I use this thing to save my Family!?" But it wasn't all that hard, not to Jack atlest. In this old model Daishi it used throtles and had all the tirggers and important combat switches on the throtles. Two pettles laid under Jacks feet just like those of a car. He would get the hang of it soon...
Karthan was already slapping his forehead mentally. Ah great. A newbie who just learned what a mech was today."My names Karthan Serphith. I'm a clanner. Basicly the enemy of the guys who are attacking your planet. Their known as the Federation. Just north of you. A.K.A the red dot that should be on your radar."
"Well, I think we should group or something." Jack had one of those "you don't want to know" voices. "Why? Well a bunch of Blue dots are headed this way." .. .. .. "How many? oh just 3 or 4!" Jack slightly pressed the peddle under his right foot. The Daishi began to walk at about 2/5 throtle.
Jack began to press the many buttons on the two "throtles" he held. But it turned out that the two "throtles" where really the leg and torso controls. The Daishi walked around, twisting about, like it was having a sesure{sp}. The Rocket rack opened and shut; the arms warmed and cooled as Jack switched between weapon sets...
Micky woke up with a jolt as a loud noise shook his cellar, sending a glass crashing to the floor. Not having a clue about what was going on, he grabbed his hunting rifle and made for the trap door. Heaving it open, he discovered that his barn was just not there- in it's place stood an alien craft, huge doors in either side disgorging fearsome looking machines. Without warning, a lightning-bolt lanced out from the arm of an alien machine, scything through Micky's parents' house and reducing it to a smouldering heap of rubble.
Stunned, he could only watch as the war machines strode off into the distance, heading for the city.
The Dropship made ground contact and it's main weapons went online and started to blast the Terran defenders in the Capital cities Airport.
Ragnar and his Star of Mechs emerged from the dropship hold. They moved with assult speed toward the defence line of the Terran Army.
"Wolfbane to Wolfpack, target and clear a safty zone for the othere dropships." Ragnars hard voice rang over the unit intercom.
They moved and blasted any enemy gun enplacements the saw around the Airport. The 90 ton Blood Asp sent energy beams in to the terrans and they where helpless. A rocket hit the side of the large metal behemonth and it turned toward the unlucky opponent, it lifted one of it's two gun arms and sent one shot from it's Heavy Laser. The beam cut into the enemy groundpunder. Ragnar scanned his Mechs systems and saw that the rocket hit hadent done any real damage.
The battle of the Airport brought back memories from when he Commanded a Binary Clan warriors and was part of the attack that destroyed a clan on it's last stronghold. Battle of the Capital Airport was over after 25 mins and that was some good fighting from the defenders but now The Federation had fotthold on the planet and more dropships started to arrive.
