If they had robbed a bank, then was sorry but didnt want to get caught so decided to give to the church, is it ok to accept it?
( BTW it's not a hypthetical question) |

Of course not - for two reasons. 1. It's not theirs to give. 2. Knowling accepting stolen goods is a crime. That's not the same as winning something and giving it as a gift.

We had a family in church give a HUGE offering one time. They obviously didn't have that kind of money from the way they lived. We didn't find out until a year later the money had come from an inheritance they received. So do you ask everyone where they got their money from? We certainly don't.

AMEN!!!!! that is so true!!! I have no problem with buying a ticket because: I have fulfilled my offerings requirements.. my bills are all paid up..My tithes are fulfilled for that week..(except I pay them monthly becuase that is how I get paid...) so the money that I use is not required else where...any winnings go first to needs of our church(not the building but the church) then to the pastor and his family etc etc....
