Unorthodox TheologyA forum to discuss/debate theological doctrines not accepted by mainstream evangelical Christianity (eg. Full Preterism, Unitarianism)
Due to a recent situation, here is the upper staff's ruling on testimonies and Rule 1.2:
Testimonies by groups not adhering to the Nicene Creed can posted when it is directly asked for by someone of another faith, when it directly answers a thread question, or in threads in that group's religious forum, if one exists on CF. Otherwise, these will be deemed as promotion of another religion.
I hope this clears some things up regarding Rule 1.2.
God Bless,

Does this ruling apply also to testimonies from UCs that are not unorthodox? For example, an LDS sharing their testimony of Christ only and not of anything else?

I would say that if the testimony does not touch on unorthodox matters, it is ok. For your example, an LDS sharing their testimony of Christ only should be fine. An LDS testimony that shared their experience with Christ but also would say things like "I experienced that the Mormon church is correct way and that Christ inspired the book of Mormon" would be acceptable under the guidelines provided by daveleau.

Ah, what a shame, so this means I cannot share my testimony that bears witness to God, Jesus being real, "the knocking" in the book of revelation being real, God calling someone being real, and dreaming dreams and seeing visions as being real. Oh well. Rules are rules. :holy:
I am glad to see that the Bible is not a measure of truth here...rather it is the Nicean Creed. I would like to hold you to it.
First: Which Nicean Creed do you hold to?
Is it the original version where Christ suffers and is buried...but does not die?
Is it the 1973 version, where he suffers death, dies and is buried?
Or is it the revised 1973 version where "dies" is removed?
Or is it one where he shares the same substance as the Father, or where he shares the same being as the father?
Keep in mind that Paul said we must believe that he died and rose again, in order to be saved.
How about the ringer:
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
You must be Catholic to participate here. That's terrific. Man's words are just as good as scripture.
Isn't it just that no one wants to trample on the Catholic Trinity?
Forget Anglican, Lutheran, and all other protestants as heretics....
