I often wondered how we would react if your employer called you in to his office and told you he was giving you a raise of €100/week... you would be over the moon, you would go and ring your wife or husband and tell them let's go and buy that new car or that new furniture and you haven't even got the money yet.
But yet you trust your employer's word; if he said it then you can take it to the bank.
Yet we don't put the same emphasis on the word of God. God has told us some things in his word and they don't cause us to be excited or rush out and act on his word. Has the word of an employer become more trustworthy than the word of God?
2 Cor. 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen…
Phil. 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
One of the most important things we need to learn is to put God’s word first place, or to believe God’s word before you believe the word of any man.

Psa. 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

very true, but there are some places on CF where this truth has recently been drown out. But God is still in control.

In fond memory of the Relaxation and Culture team, and it's hard-working staff. Jan-July, 2009 R.I.P.
I've heard it said that praise is the highest form of faith.
We give thanks because we know it's ours before we see it. We see it with the eye of faith before we see it in the natural. When we see it in His Word, and we see it in our hearts, we can't help but to give thanks, for we know it is true.
God is faithful, and His Word is reliable.

Second, practice your religion without adulterating it or toning it down. Third, emphasize love and make it your working force, for love is central in Christianity. Fourth, study the non-Christian religions more sympathetically to find the good that is within them in order to have a more sympathetic approach to the people.”
