Final Fantasy games and squarsoft

Final Fantasy 7 is my favorite on with Cloud. Now there is a great amount of games. The games are great when it gets to FF10 the great graphics begin but still the other Final Fantasy's have great graphics. The last game that came out in America was Final Fantasy 11. In FF 7 the best ship is the Highwind. Lots of people I know like the games of Final Fantasy. 

There is already a RPG and anime club. We don't need a club for squaresoft fan boys to talk about FF7. FF7 is the most overrated game in the series and, while FF7 is not a bad game, many other games are better than FF7, including some of the FF games(especially FF4 and FF6). IMO FF6 is still the best game in the FF series(though I'm not sure how FFX compares to it) and the PSX FF games rely too much on prerendered backgrounds. Please don't reply to your own posts until someone else replies.

We don't need a SquareSoft specific club. There are quality RPGs out there that aren't made from SquareSoft. SquareSoft made some great games, but some of their PSX games are a bit overrated. There are other compaines out there like Working Designs, SEGA, Atlus, Capcom, and Nintendo that produce quality RPGs. Please don't post in caps.

 

As the poster of the first RPGs and anime club, I want no inter-club flamewars here. That kind of conduct led to the closing of all usergroups except for mod/admin only ones on at least two anime forums I could name, because the people in each club flamed the people in the other club to the point of almost splitting the entire forum.

i.e. the Final Fantasy fans flamed the other RPG fans, the other RPG fans flamed the FF fans back, the fans of one anime flamed the fans of another anime, and it became just a bunch of flames and counterflames.

If you want to start your own clubs, fine, I don't mind that personally. However, I do NOT want an inter-club flamewar beginning here and all clubs being closed.

I didn't intend to flame. I just don't want to see posts like "FF7 is the best game ever" or posts that talk about nothing but how good certain Square games are. I want people to be aware that there are other games out there besides FF7 and besides Squaresoft games and I don't like seeing topics that are baised towards Squaresoft or any other gameing company for that matter. I don't like baised posts and a topic like this would probably start them.  

I love Final Fantasy games, but I feel that the PSX games rely too much on prerendered backgrounds for the design. The PSX FF games(not counting the ports of SNES/NES FF games) are actually shorter than FFIV, FFV, and FFVI because of the smaller dungeons and reliance on cutscenes. The cutscenes are one of the main reasons for the multiple discs, not the length of the game.

I don't mind talk about FF games, but I do mind posts like "Skies of Arcadia stinks because it's not from Squaresoft", "FFVII is the best game ever", or "This game has no cutscenes, this game stinks!".

Yeah, good post. . .and I would agree with you to some extent, however, I was directing that post not only to you, but to those "this stinks" type of posts too.

There used to be other usergroups than just admin stuff, neat, before my time, what groups did there used to be, out of curiosity?
