Youre right, they probably should.
But they love you scoffers enough to spend thier days trying to reach you at a level you can understand.
Then they need to educate themselves. Many of them have not yet achieved the level of the average scoffer.
Or are you suggesting that they're talking down to our level?
If that's love, they can keep it.

I would say that if his salary is that high, then those supporting him (hey, no ones holding a gun to thier head, they do it of thier own free will) have the right to put him up any way they choose.
Thats none of anyones elses business.
Who needs a gun when you can hold ETERNAL DAMNATION over their heads?

By that logic, Benny Hinn, Jim Baker and others did nothing wrong in bilking old ladies out of their social security checks. We have a common assumption in this country (and many others) that using people's sincerely-held religious beliefs to solicit money from them requires a high level of integrity when using those funds. When someone abuses that, as Ken Hamm seems to be, it is perfectly proper to denounce that as inappropriate.

If we saw that Ken Hamm is getting out of control, we can simply stop supporting.

I dont know what his salary is, and I am not taking anyones here word for anything, but even if it is that high, then so be it.
as long as he is getting the job done (and quite obviously he is), any amount he makes is okay.

Right, everyone else is deluded and you and others who agree with you know the "truth." All those silly scientists just aren't sharp enough to see what you see. Y'know, grab a dose of reality. Scientists aren't stupid and they aren't deceived, they have simply put a lot of time and effort into figuring out the origins and mechanisms of biological diversity. This constant, unsupported insistence that they're deluded is just childish. The sick part is, it's highly likely that Hamm and his organization know, at least in some small way that they're playing fast and loose with the facts, but they keep doing it anyway.
Riddle me this, if you and other YECs really are the ones who are privy to the truth, and mainstream scientists are the ones who are either dishonest or deceived, then explain why the YECs are the ones who engage in quote mining, repeat falsified arguments years after they've been debunked and use every tactic of deception and deflection they can lay their hands on? Real scientists, who are deluded, use public journals and stringent peer review processes and make their evidence available to the world. So why the difference in tactics if YECs know the "truth?"

I'm not twisting anything, you said that no one was holding a gun to people's head when they give, so we should essentially not sweat what the recipients do with it.
No Jim Baker and Benny Hinn don't make Hamm wrong, the fact that he takes two hundred grand from the ministry coffers makes him wrong.
You don't have to take our word for it, that's why there was a link to a very AIG-friendly article in a Kentucky newspaper.

He shows nothing of the kind, he shows you part of the story. Listening to Hamm and Hovind and the ICR crew is like going to a magic show, they show you just enough of the evidence, at the right angles to make you believe that it fits with their hypotheses. The problem comes when you look at the evidence from other angles. That's when you see how paper thin their arguments are.
If they are so confident in their position, why don't they conduct their own research and publish the data for the world to see. Why so much resistence to the idea of subjecting their evidence to scientific scrutiny?
