If that holds up, and the Dems also take MO and MT(very likely), the Democrats will take the Senate.

Abortion is codename for murder of innocent life.
The other night, I asked my pro choice friend a question.
"If you look back at the day you heard your wife was pregnant with your son(who was sitting next to him at the time). And try and imagine the conversation differently that day, imagine your wife coming home and saying, "I'm pregnant! I'm choosing to get an abortion next week!" and you replied with "well, it's your body - go ahead" In hindsight, do you think it would have been a poor decision?"
I'm still trying to get an answer from him. |

i think that instead of making it illegal, we should educate more on birth control and such [altho the catholic church goes against that too!] if we made it illegal, all that would happen is women would find alternative ways to rid their fetus.. drugs, illegal operations and dangerous ones, even as far as hangers. suiicide rate would go up too.
as democrats, we say abortion should be "safe, legal, and rare."
republicans say "illegal."
democrats are at least trying to create better education for the people, so less abortions will happen. republicans on the other hand are unsucessfully and imorally trying to make it illegal.
now if i ever got a girl pregnant would i ask her to get an abortion? absolutely not. never. i would be a single father before she had an abortion. i would give my life before she had an abortion. HOWEVER, i still don't think abortion should be legal.. not everyone is willing to be parents. but hey, this is rather off topic eh?
i believe the dems have taken over the house!! ANd i believe dems will take over senate too!! now it's time to get impeachment ready, and we will have a liberal, open minded government. )

Women who do not have abortions do not get depressed and commit suicide as much as women who do have abortions.
Using this info, how do you deduce that making abortions illegal would make the suicide rate go up? |

In 90% of your posts you go out of your way to tell us that you're liberal. You told someone at OBOB that you are Catholic, but reading your profile seems to indicate otherwise. Your posts seem to be so flippant that I am having trouble even believing you're not a sock puppet.
Are you here to have fun, or perhaps to provoke?
The Democrat party hates loyal Catholics (meaning those who follow the Catholicism of the Bible and the Catechism).

There are not a hundred people in America who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions of people who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church — which is, of course, quite a different thing. ~ Bishop Fulton Sheen |

Go Democrats!!
Most republicans are like baptist fundamentalists, who seem to have this eek for the Catholic church.. so it will be great to have the Democrats the majority!!
Even considering their antiCatholic stances, not to mention that they have derided Catholics as much as they have fundamentalist Protestants?

You mean, you don't mind inherent evil?
