This thread is about the most significant realationship I ever had or ever will have. The name of the thread is simply, He and I. Along with an occasional sprinkling of my art, for the most part I'll be quoting from a book with the same title. It's a book of dialouge between a Soul and Christ. It was written bY Gabriel Bossis in the 1940's. She was a French gal and a lover of the theater arts but she had an incredible relationship with the Lord. She journaled her "inner" coversations with Him. The words in her book are the most beautiful words I have ever read, except for the Gospels, of course. I think you'll find these words very encouraging, moving and challenging but one thing this book will help your realize is that you are beautiful, special and unique to Jesus.
Well here we go, from the Book He and I, written from Gabrielle Bossis:
Jesus speaks,
"Keep Me company more and more. You can never know haw much it means to Me to be treated as an intimate friend. It is so rare. I delight in this as a human being. Don't you love someone who finds rest in your company and who wants to confide his secrets to you? And I, the sensitve One! Seek Me and don't ever let me go away. Keep Me faithful and joyous company.

Of course, I always forgive if you tell Me of your neglect and feel truly sorry for it. I'm not one of those who spy on faults and failings, ready to be severe. I am all goodness. See how easily little children come to Me. Then keep your heart childlike and come. Try to understand My love better and give yourself to it wholly. You know how one decorates an altar with flowers and candles. Say, 'My great Friend, here is a sacrifice, a silence, a smile for love of You.' Let everything you do celebrate love. That will console Me for many others who pass Me by. Love alone can comfort love.

I found this book on the shelf at a thrift store today and have only read the first 38 pages at this time. So far, I do have peace that her communion with Christ was real, but even she expressed doubts at times as to it's legitimacy. That doesn't bother me too much though, not nearly as much as someone who accepts spiritual utterances without ever even questioning the source, and her few doubts here and there only exhibit a healthy, cautionary posture of an intelligent woman who understood that there are two sources within the spiritual realm. This woman seems to have had a very, very close and unique relationship with the Christ, and no doubt was allowed so partially for our benefit. Such communion with God may be appreciated far and near, but will not be fully fathomed by one who has never had such communion. One can only wonder though over the simple, childlike and deep but loving wisdom imparted to this woman, if we are by studying her communion record, at the same time also studying what our communion will be with Christ in glory. In 1936 when she was 62 years old, He once again called her by the former affectionate term of, "My little girl". Though our bodies do age and decay with time, our spirits within are eternal and know not what time is. With all of her rare and exceptional spiritual maturity in knowing the Christ, she still had not yet exceeded the dear status of "My little girl". How could it be otherwise with an infinite and eternal Savior?
So glad this thread was brought up again!
I needed to read this today. Very encouraging.

It is so good to have the inner words of the Lord to one of His beloved shared as we should strive to do with each other. I believe this is one reason I am so blessed by this "deeper fellowship" I love to share what Jesus means to this man. I get excited and experience pure joy when I am overwhelmed by his love as I express my inner thoughts and heart longings to enter into intimacy with the Lover of our souls. There is nothing in the world that I have ever done or tried that even comes remotly close.
I am blessed by these words too. oh sister Amy, you're wonderful for bringing this to us. what a blessing to know that Jesus is there for us. He is ours and we are His...without this thought -and without Him- I don't think I could live. Jesus You are life! I adore You!

"O take my heart, Thou Loved One; let it be transfixed with those dear wounds for love of Thee. O wound it, Jesus, with pure love of Thee, and let it so be crucified with Thee that it may be forever joined to Thee."
Thanks Jon! Really I wasn't expecting this positive response. Now y'all be really honest with me. Should I keep going with this thread, adding quotes from the book? Would you actually come and read and comment or should I just let it go as is?
in other words I don't want to give it more time if people aren't really interested.
what do you think? It's OK. You can be honest.
