What are your thoughts on this?

( I didn't get much of a response in the women's discussion).
My response is that I don't go to the beach (galviston lol)
For the reasons you suggest.

Mainly because I don't believe people of that standard are there..

The beach I go to there are either old people or alot of rocks to walk on.

I don't think the beach is bad at all and you should go It is a great way to spend time with your friends.

Just remember to wear Sun screen.

I spent some time in South Beach, Florida, a number of years ago and was bombarded with thongs and bare breasted women. Like the proverbial frog in the pot of boiling water, I started indulging in the lust of the fresh. Yes, sir, going to the beach, at least some of them, can generate a plethora of temptations. I avoid South Beach (aka "The Beach) at all cost these days. I can't think of any other place in America that so eptimozises the pride of life as "The Beach" does.

I agree. God has made all this beautiful land and scenery...why not enjoy it? Like the other posters said - if it is a temptation, then don't go.

I don't think I should leave the house, I live in a hot country, they wear very little to the shops and in fact anywhere.

I have no problem with looking, but not lusting after them.
Of coarse it is ok to go to the beach.

I think it's ridiculous that Christians feel comfortable in blaming sin on temptation rather than the sinner. Spurning creation for the sake of avoiding temptation- when it is our very nature to be tempted by just about anything, wherever you happen to be- seems a question of misplaced blame to me. Do we not pray to God to deliver us from temptation? If you do not believe it is possible to overcome temptation, then that prayer is meaningless.
