I go to the skin doctor and put it on my feet occassionally when they break out. Its not much of an issue for me though it is annoying to have |

you cant get it by someone or something its something you are born with. it is a mutation.

The UK National Eczema Society was a lifeline when the idiot (idiot because he KNOWS what he should not eat and handle and still does!) I married was a real mess.
It took a mix of wet wraps with emoillants on normal eczema.
Icthband and coban, yes he smelt and looked rather like an eygptian mummy for a few weeks but who cares it worked because it allowed the skin to heal and even he could not scratch through the coban bandages. It is sonly fair to point out thanks to infection it took two years to clear up to a normal very dry itchy skin.
I have to watch everything from the laudry products to his clothes. Cotton Comfort make clothes for those with severe eczema flare ups that can take the lotions potions and bandages and wash and wear well.
If its out of control push to see a dermatologist to treat the external *itch* and if its caused by allergens in your home or diet and you can access a specialsit allergy doctor...go for it.

Reps: 11,911 (power: 20) | | | A number of years ago I used to get eczema pretty bad on my elbows, backs of my knees, feet, and hands. Was very annoying becuase I had no idea what was causing it. The doctors could only prescribe stuff which game me some relief but it always came back. I was told to cut back on the dairy products but that didn't seem to help either. It eventually went away by itself although it sometimes came back on my hands for years later until more recently it went away too and now I'm eczema free. I'm still not sure how I got rid of it although it was about the same time I made some significant changes to my lifestyle by eating healthy, exercising, reducing stress, and a better relationship with God. Might have just been a coincidence, but who knows. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
