A real repentance is to TURN AROUND, to move in the opposite direction.
It’s a gift of God’s grace – godly grief based on love for God and the person that we sinned against, heartache for the wounding that was caused. Fully turning to God without any excuse or reservation, with a broken spirit.
Remorse is wishing we had done better
Feeling sorry for what we have done because we where ‘caught out’
Being brokenhearted for ourselves only
It’s of the flesh, for the flesh, never coming to true repentance or freedom.
As soon as they have the forgiveness they will continue with the wrong.
Saulish repentance expects God to understand, seeks to avoid painful consequences and is without surrender. Also offers a good reason for disobedience and continue by self-exaltation. The result is that they miss the blessings of God (King Saul died broken – He lost his Kingdome and his mind, and lived out his life in delusion.)
Davidic repentance accepts the truth when confronted makes no excuses and takes responsibility for their own actions. Focus attention upon the wounded one – including God. They feel the damage done to the other as if it were done to them. They are willing to change and allow God to change them. They are unwilling to compromise and stay with new disciplines. The result is increasing of blessings and wisdom. (King David’s repentance was a full surrender to God, without excuse. As a result, he grew in stature and wisdom and his descendant, Jesus, reigns eternally)
God accepts a broken spirit and a contrite heart – Psalm 51:17

I wish all would read and grasp what this is saying.

True repentance is not just saying, "I repent". It's more personal, and the it a matter of confessing wholeheartedly and asking God for forgiveness then ask for God to help us in the matter. The reason we do certain sins is because we do not submit to God's plan but follow our own.

We can get born again, only once in our lifetime but we do repent several times, sometimes daily. When born again our spirit that was inactive start to be active again but we are all humans and will fall from time to time and then we will need to repent.
We also have to repent from stuff we do to our brothers and sisters. Its of no use to chop off someone’s head, put it underneath his arm and say ‘Oh! I am so sorry!!!” Tomorrow you do that very same thing again, and continually in this behavior, YOU STILL HAVE TO FORGIVE Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother TRESPASS AGAINST THEE, REBUKE HIM; and IF he REPENT, FORGIVE him. Luke 17:4 And if he trespass against thee SEVEN TIMES IN A DAY, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou SHALT FORGIVE HIM.

Still today I find that Christians see repentance and to be born again as the very same thing. There is much more to be born again as to turn away from the wrong way.
What do you people think?

It's true when we come before the Lord we can't say... But Lord if they hadn't done this, then we wouldn't have.... We are responsible for our own actions. We are without excuse.
When in the face of adversity, or confrontation may we always keep this scripture in mind.
Romans 12:21
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
A big part of repenting is to turn from our evil ways. If we continue to do what is evil in the sight of the Lord then we have not truly repented.
Ezekiel 14:6
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
To touch on repentance and being born again. While they are not both the same thing. You must repent in order to be born again.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

If tomorrow, you should find that I'm gone.
Sing praises to Jesus! I'll be with him, where I belong.

Thanks BSign24 well said and I feel the same way also. I had to learn that the hard way. It is so easy to to say the words but can you talk the talk and walk the walk. Praise be to God I can with His help.

What do you people think?
turning away from wrongdoings in one point, and then to continue to walk on the path God sets out for us, this is the hard part.
