ever felt

That God was exposing the next few years of your life to you, and then you get all excited and you stay excited cause things keep working out little by little and then...... IT DIES..... then u hafta start all over?  I'm in that "gonna start all over" deal, i thought I knew my next uhhhhh atleast 4 years and i thought that since errr last ummm january.... but now..... the door looks like it shut HARD.  anywayz.... it seemed so close that it was almost "tangible" but i dont know what to think anymore.  just wondering if anyone kinda knows what im going through (i'm being broad i know) but thats all i can say right now.

So often what we think is God's vision for us is really our vision for ourselves, and when it fails, we get doubly disappointed because we think God let us down.

God rarely shows someone their future. In the whole Bible, it only happened a couple times, and always with the intent to make the person repent and change their evil ways. I can't think of a single time that God showed someone a good future to get them all excited.

It's more exciting to live each day without knowing what it will bring. Like opening a Christmas present each day, you don't know what kind of gift is in it. God only wants us to trust that He has a good plan for us. He doesn't reveal that plan ahead of time.

Like the bumper sticker says, "I only get enough light for the next step."

Sometimes we may think that we know what direction God is going to take our lives and then we go ahead and go down that path. It is very easy to get ahead of God and when we do it only results in feeling some how that we've been let down. The most difficult thing to do is to wait and let God lead us. Some of us want to run with the vision when the vision was not given to us by God but came because of our own desires. As lambslove has said, God does not show us the future. If He did we wouldn't need to walk by faith. Instead He takes us a step at a time so that we don't forget just who it is we need to depend upon.

i know a guy from church who had spent 3 years studying a certain degree, but when he finished with that, God closed other doors and opened one which was completely different with what he studied before.

and he's very happy with what he's doing now, so there you go.

i still saw God open so many doors and clear that path but at the end the last door stayed shut.... or is still shut and im thinking it won't be opened. its just strange i REALLY felt God was leading me this way (i didn't even want it for the longes time) but.. i accepted it and started to go down this path and its..... it stopped... or something like that i dunno. its weird.

Sometimes we can really FEEL that something is God's will, however we are to walk by faith and not by sight (feelings).  Our walk is a faith walk and sometimes all you can do is just trust that God is in control and be content with that. 

As the saying goes...if God is your co-pilot, its time to switch seats!

God has a wonderful plan for you and if you will just STAND He will lead you in the way He wants you to go.

Hang in there.  It will all work out for your good.

hang in there is right. The next few years are going to be confusing, but it works out. Just don't give up.
I gave up. That's left me with a lot to pay for and a big mess to clean up.
Giving up is a bad idea. Have patience. I mean years of patience. It pays off.
