Please, please do not allow this to become a spiritual crisis for you. God used Luther to create another branch of his (God's) church. Anti-semitism was not invented by Luther but by Satan and he plants it wherever he can. While it may be Luther's fault that he allowed the seed to sprout, it is not God's fault. The Catholic Church perpetuated the Crusades and the Inquisition and Pope Pius during WWII was pro-Hitler. Many protestant churches believe that the Church is now Israel. But there are millions and millions of wonderful Christians who love Israel and the Jews and understand their place in God's plan.

I was just reading about Luther and Hilter this morning.

These do seem two different thread subjects, however.

But, according to what I researched, Luther did love the Jews at first and wanted them in the church. They did refuse, however, and I'd say that a type of "hatred" spewed from that, as Luther wanted 'all' people to read the Bible in their own language. But, the Jews only wanted Torah, and one cannot be forced to read the NT or other deuterocanan books. To say that this was a very possible theory as to why Luther became anti-semetic, to me seems quite correct.

On to Hilter. Hilter was Catholic. He was baptized in the Catholic Church and wanted to join the Catholic Monestary to study first as a Catholic Monk in his early adulthood.

If one reviews all the photos of Hilter's "Christianity" he was seen with the Pope, the Cardinals, and Bishops of the Catholic Church giving the hail Hilter nazi sign.

It was during Hilter's early decision to join the Catholic Priesthood, that he began studying mystics and mythology. Hilter became fascinated with the theory that Atlantis was the "good people" of the Aryan race, and that most others came from evolution animal-human beings (that the other people evolved from Apes).

In short, read about Hilter's Catholic upbringing and his weird doctrines regarding the Aryan race coming from Atlantis.

He was one crazy mixed up man that is for sure.

Roots in Lutherism in regards to Hilter are mere theories if you study it.

As far as the proof, Hilter was Catholic; he was never excommunicated officially, although some of the Catholic peoples in other countries were trying to have him excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

There is a lot [and I mean emphasis, a lot!] of study one needs to do on these two subjects.

Also, BarbB you brought up an interesting point about Protestants and Israel.

I think most Protestants believe there is an actual Israel (the place) and a spiritual Israel (the body of Christ, the seeds of Abraham) which exists outside and/or in conjunction with physical Israel (the land).

I believe there is both a physical Israel and a spirtual Israel, and both are of God, and I've actually been wanting to start a poll/vote to see how many others believe in both physical Israel and spiritual Israel. I may do that soon.

Also, if Hilter was some type of Christian crusader, it's only obvious then that Muslims, Hindus, Buddists would have been on his hit list, and that wasn't true at all.

If you don't know what the ancient mythological land of Atlantis is, you need to do a study on that as it pertains to Hilter and Nazism.
