Romans 12:2 - "Do not comform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the reviving of your mind"
Thats the verse I want to talk about, but first here is the translation my campus minister thought of-
"Don't let the world around you squeeze you into its own mold, but let God mold your mind from within"

So here is my take on this-
Basically this verse says don't be playdoh. Don't let the world ball you up, then stretch you out, then put you through the playdoh pumper in so you come out the way they want you to. Instead let God be the playdoh pumper. Let God mold your heart to they way he wants it to be. Let Him be the one who picks the shape you are. don't worry how you look to the world. Instead know that God loves you and he wants you to give up your life to Him so that together you can do great things.

I must say that we are rather impressionable creatures and its easy to get caught up with the things of the world and eventually conform to it. Lucky we have God and keeping our focus on Him just puts everything into it's right perspective.... im gonna share this illustration with my CareGroup. Cool.
