Who You Are In The Spirit By Andrew Wommack
If I were to ask you "Do you know who you are?" your immediate answer would be, "Of course I do." But can you imagine what it would be like if suddenly you lost all memory of your name, where you lived, who was your husband or wife, your children, where you worked, etc? It would be terrifying. There is an enormous security in knowing who you are. That is the reason people are so reluctant to change. They are secure in what they know and very fearful about what they do not know.
Well, it is also a necessity that you know who you have become in your spirit. You are a new creature in your spirit (2 Cor. 5:17), and you have to reeducate your mind to think that way before the perfect will of God will be made manifest in your flesh (Rom. 12:1-2). We are more than conquerors through Christ, but we won't benefit from that truth until we convince ourselves of it, no more than a millionaire would benefit from their bank account if they didn't know it was there. This is the condition that the body of Christ has been in. We have simply been ignorant of who we are in Jesus (in our spirits) and of the rights and privileges that are ours.
An example of this in the natural is our freedom as Americans. According to the preamble of the Constitution, we have been endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights which are guaranteed to us by the governing documents of the United States of America. There is an elected judicial system to enforce these rights. But, with these rights there are also responsibilities. It is each individual's responsibility to know what their rights are and go through the proper channels to obtain them. Millions of law-breakers have never been brought to trial because the victim, for one reason or another, didn't press charges. In many cases, I'm sure the people didn't know their rights.
During Abraham Lincoln's presidency, he signed the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed all American slaves. But there are documented cases where slave owners hid the Proclamation, and slaves continued serving in bondage because they were ignorant of the change that had taken place. This has been exactly Satan's strategy against the church. As Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." And 2 Peter 1:3 says, "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue." If Satan can keep a Christian ignorant or in unbelief about who they have become and their rights as a child of the King, he can keep them in bondage even though the law of liberty in Christ Jesus has been put into effect!
The most effective way the devil has done this is through religious unbelief, specifically the doctrinal teachings about us being unworthy, condemned ol' sinners, saved by grace. Praise God. I was an ol' sinner, but I got saved by grace, and now I'm the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 5:21). I am not unworthy any longer in my spiritual man. Ephesians 4:24 says, "And that ye put on the new man [that is speaking of your born-again spirit], which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." My spirit is righteous and truly holy! Hallelujah!
But, somebody would say, "All our righteousness are as filthy rags" (Is. 64:6), and "There is none righteous, no not one" (Rom. 3:10). These scriptures refer to our self-righteousness, which can never bring us into fellowship with God because "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23). But Jesus took our sin and became sin for us so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor. 5:21). That means our new spirits. That's the part of us that is in Him. If you accept the first part of this verse, that Jesus became sin for us, then you have to accept the next part, that we received His righteousness. This is not a righteousness which is imparted in heaven. It will be perfected in heaven, spirit, soul, and glorified body. But as Ephesians 4:24 says, our spirits are now righteous and truly holy. Hebrews 12:23 says, speaking of the church, "the spirits of just men made perfect."
The spirit that we had which was dead unto God, is gone, and the new spirit which we received at salvation, is righteous, truly holy, and perfect. It is actually the same spirit that we will have throughout all eternity. It will not be changed or improved upon. The flesh part will be changed, but our spirit salvation is complete. Colossians 1:12 says that we have (past tense) been made meet (fit or able) to partake of the inheritance of the saints. In our spirits, we are now overcomers, and the rest of the Christian life, stated very simply, is renewing the soul and body to that truth. Romans 12:2 says it this way, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Paul didn't pray that they would receive some new thing from God, but rather that they would renew their minds and prove (or make manifest to the physical senses) what was already there. God did not change us only in principle at the new birth, but we are now, in our spirits, a totally new creation. But until we first realize this and then act on it in faith, the devil will continue to oppress us. The first step in faith is knowledge. Romans 10:14 says, "How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?" and verse 17 says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Ignorance of who we are in our spirits has made it impossible for us to act in faith accordingly.
Philemon 6 says, "That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." This verse makes it clear that your faith becomes effectual (starts working) by knowing the good things in your spirit. You could turn that verse around and not change the meaning by saying that if you don't know what's taken place in your spirit man, your faith won't work.
The religious teaching that most people have received today has either taught or left the impression that there isn't any good thing in us. We've been taught that the way to activate the power of God in our lives is to keep our unworthiness and weaknesses continually before us. This is characterized by what I call the "false humility attitude" among many Christians. You will hear statements such as "Without Jesus, I can do nothing," which is totally true, but it is not balanced by the truth that "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
We need to realize that we are totally dependent on Jesus, but we have to go beyond that and realize that as we depend on Jesus, we are totally superior to any weapon the devil can use against us. We are world overcomers (1 John 5:4). Hebrews 12:2 says we have to look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, but most of us have been looking at ourselves. No wonder we've been weary and have fainted in the battle (Heb. 12:3)! As we change our attention from our own frailty to Christ's sufficiency and take our place in Him, our faith will be activated, and we'll begin to live like the King's kids that we are.
Chad Taylor: HE'S THE LORD OF EVERYTHING. HE EVEN CALLS HIMSELF, "THE LORD OF THE HARVEST!"
By Chad Taylor
May 26, 2008
When Jesus went up the mountain with three of His disciples, He was transfigured or altered from His human state to a glorified one. It was a fearful moment of splendor as the Son of Man revealed His heavenly identity and manifested His glory in human form to three trembling witnesses. The description of Jesus' appearance in this indescribable moment is life-changing, and reveals a glimpse into their future shortly after this transfiguration.
Moments after this earth-shaking experience as God the Father is heard audibly from Heaven and Elijah and Moses appear on the mountain with the Lord--Jesus declares to His disciples, "Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead..." (Matthew 17:2).
This was indicating that there would be a time that this manifest presence of Jesus, in all its blinding brilliance, would be revealed and exposed to the world, existing just below this mountaintop experience. Now look a little closer at this event as the Gospel records it:
"His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light..." Matthew 17:9
The word "shone" is a derivative from the Greek word "Lampos" or "to shine with brilliance." The color of His clothing was "white as the light" which is "Leukos," the word for "white light" or "fire."
Jesus had become a brilliant, radiant white flame that caused the disciples to collapse to the ground in terror. This was not just a momentary passing experience, but rather, a prophetic keyhole into the future which would be accessible to all after His resurrection. But as you will see, there was another hinge on this door of His glorious transfiguring presence--the harvest.
Now His Glory Revealed to the World
This was not the last time that this brilliant glory would be revealed. Fast forward a few chapters to Matthew 28. We see a vacant grave where the Body of Jesus had been laid, and now, rather than Moses and Elijah appearing, the Angel of the Lord descends and rolls the stone away from the cavity and sits down. The angel announces to the two women which had come to fulfill their duties--that Christ was not dead but is very much alive, and then commands them to, "Go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead!"
This is the first evangelistic mandate after Jesus had conquered the grave. The news of His resurrection raced through Galilee. When the angel commanded them to go, literally, "two by two," we again see the same "white-Leukos" or brilliant light that is white like snow and bright as lightening. The angel appears in the same glory that Jesus revealed on the Mount of Transfiguration and sends the two women with a Message.
What was once contained on the top of the mountain to three trembling disciples is now unveiled to the world. Mary Magdalene and her accomplice became the first evangelists proclaiming the resurrected Christ in the "Leukos," or His manifest power, that they had seen on the mountain top.
Suddenly, the vision begins to come into focus; the awesome presence and power revealed to the world in all of His amazing glory on the mountain, then later at the empty grave, is for a much larger, dynamic purpose. These manifestations were not just showcasing His stunning brilliance, but rather it was to confirm His resurrection and life to the world--past, present and future.
The glory of God revealed in these epic encounters was the sole spearhead of evangelism that would be confirmed with great signs and wonders. This becomes even more clear as we hear the description of the harvest as Jesus exhorts His apostles: "Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are already 'white' for harvest!" (John 4:35).
Did you see it? The same Greek word used at the Mount of Transfiguration to describe His glory and the same vivid language at the empty grave of a resurrected Jesus now defines the harvest--Leukos: brilliant white light and fire! A progressive advancement of God's presence was manifesting in the earth from the mountain, the grave and now--the harvest.
"And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus and great grace was upon them all." Acts 4:33
This lightning rod of God's transforming presence was now being translated into the first century church. They were "telling the vision" of what they had seen and heard on the mountain down below in the valley of decision and great power was upon them. When Stephen faced his persecutors as they opposed the message of Jesus it records, "And all that sat in the council looking steadfastly on him and saw his face as it had been the face of an angel..." (Acts 6:15).
Suddenly it was not a private matter of a select few. It had become a worldwide event that reached out past every social religious boundary with His message of eternal salvation. The awestruck disciples were now the carriers of His glorious presence into the "uttermost parts of the earth."
God's White Light Causes the Fields to Be White for Harvest
We see now that the engine of the Gospel message that drives it into the world--is His presence and glory. It is not a tantalizing self-induced experience that produces no fruit, but rather an illuminating light which leads the world to Jesus and becomes the pillar of fire that leads His Church into the world. Yet often in contemporary circles, we see the opposite in effect. We want to privatize His glory and keep it shrouded in personal experience, assuming the world will simply catch on.
Look at the words of Jesus carefully, "No man after he has lit a candle puts it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick so that they that come in may see the light..." (Luke 11:33).
"...so that those that come in may see the light"...what are they coming into that a light is so important? They are coming into His Kingdom like an airplane on a dark runway and need a spotlight guiding them to the shores of His presence and salvation! That's what He meant when it was declared prophetically, "YOU are the LIGHT of the WORLD" (Matthew 5:14).
You have become the transfiguring light of His presence and are the only hope of the world to see it. "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory..." (Colossians 1:27). Our job description now is to reveal the Light of eternity in a dark world void of it. We are light to the world and are here to transfigure and transform it.
Now we can see why He identified Himself as the "Lord of the Harvest" (Matthew 9:38 and Luke 10:2).There was His crowning achievement, the joy set before Him and why He had suffered and died. It was the reason He was crucified to ransom lost mankind to Himself. He was the Lord of that Harvest and had received an anointing and was now giving to His Church the anointing to reap it. The word harvest literally means: a reaping.
In Luke 10:2, harvest is literally mentioned three times, "Then He said to them, 'The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'" A "reaping or crop" is not "going" to be ready. It "was already" ripe, and the only hindrance to that reaping were the workers or laborers. That word "laborer" can be interpreted in the ancient text as "toiler or teacher." This world needs someone to teach it the Word of God.
As far as we appear to be climbing this current mountain of revelation and gifts, we can never disqualify the necessity of teaching and preaching His Word. It's the very reason the glory was given and that divine power was granted--to "be His witnesses." Look at Philip as he encounters the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8:26-39.
Philip became the prophet to Africa's royal court sent by God along the roadside. He became the teacher that illuminated the ancient text of Isaiah revealing Christ to him. Then he was a mighty evangelist who baptized the man in water along the way after the eunuch openly confessed, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God..." (verse 37).
Rather than dissect God's power into cookie-cutter theologies, let's fully embrace the sheer power of His presence and step into the brilliant light of the "Lord of the Harvest" and become His prophets, kings, priests, teachers and evangelists to the world. In that exact moment, the world begins to press around us like moths to the flame as it did Him and all of them then. We suddenly realize we have entered a harvest that is a result of prophecy and has become the answer to His ancient prayer, "...pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest"
You become that laborer and you become that harvester and the prophecy of Jesus of a great glorious white harvest continues to be fulfilled and unfolded. The harvest we face today is a prophetic one born on the winds of prophecy uttered from the mouth of Jesus two thousand years ago. Like Philip, run to it! You may see kings bow, princes baptized and vagabonds saved. This great prophetic adventure awaits you, and His glory will carry you into the white light of His presence, because you "are a city set upon a hill that cannot be hid" and you are the "Leukos" or "light of the world."

JESUS SAID TO HIM, "THOMAS, BECAUSE YOU HAVE
SEEN ME, YOU HAVE BELIEVED. BLESSED ARE
THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN AND YET HAVE
BELIEVED."
(JOHN 20:29 *NKJ )
Not seeing and still believing is what being a true
Christian is all about. FOR WE WALK BY FAITH,
NOT BY SIGHT. ( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 )
Now walking by faith , is believing with
all of your heart, mind and soul that God will Guide you
and Protect you. Also believing that He is there to
Comfort, Bless and Love you, and knowing that He is
here performing Miracles all over the Earth each and
every day as well.
Further, by believing that if you ask God to take control
of your life and will, your life will vastly improve! It is by
seeing the beauty that surrounds us in this World, and
how perfectly everything works together, and knowing
that all of this could not have happened by accident!
For: BY FAITH WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORLDS
WERE FRAMED BY THE WORD OF GOD, SO THAT
THE THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN WERE NOT MADE
OF THINGS WHICH ARE VISIBLE. ( HEBREWS 11:3 )
No, we can't see God standing on the street corner
touching lives, healing people and caring for them, but
those with faith know that He is there! So don't ever be like
doubting Thomas, instead know that God is watching over
you right know! Therefore, , have a wonderful
day knowing that you are in good hands indeed!

Jesus Is Willing, Be Healed!
Matthew 8:3
3Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”…
Do you know that it is God’s will for you to be healed? In fact, Jesus always healed the sick who came to Him. The blind, lame, maimed, mute, deaf and demon-possessed — He healed them all. (Matthew 8:16)
TheBible says that he who has seen Jesus has seen the Father. (John 14:9) You want to see what God is like? Look at Jesus! He never gave sickness to anybody. You never find Jesus looking at a person, a fine specimen of a man, and saying, “Come here. You are too healthy. Receive some leprosy!” In fact, when a leper came to Him for healing, Jesus, full of compassion, told the leper, “I am willing; be cleansed.”
Unfortunately, there are Christians who say, “It is God’s will for me to be sick. God has some purpose, some mysterious purpose for my situation. It is all part of His divine plan and we shall all know in the sweet by and by, the reason why!” But these same people go to their doctors to get well. They take their medication and rest. Why do they do that if they really believe that God wants them sick? Doesn’t make sense, does it?
Come on, what makes perfect sense is this: God wants you well. He wants you whole. His will is for you to be healed! In fact, He is so willing that He took all your sicknesses and diseases upon His own body, so that you don’t have to suffer them today! He allowed Himself to be beaten and scourged, so that by His scourging — by His stripes — you are healed! (Isaiah 53:5) Since He has already suffered the pain on your behalf, why should you suffer it today?
So my friend, if you are sick, know that God did not give you the disease. Read every healing miracle that Jesus did in the gospels and see how Jesus is the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26) Hear His gracious words, “I am willing, be healed,” and know that they are as much for you today as they were for the leper!
Ephesians 6:11
Put on the whole amour of God, that you may be
able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
God does not need you to defeat the devil today. Jesus has already done it and given you the victory. (Colossians 2:15, Romans 8:37) Your part is to enforce the victory by simply standing your ground, which is victory ground. In other words, you “fight” from victory ground by standing. You don’t fight for victory.
In Ephesians 6:10–18, the passage on spiritual warfare, the word “wrestle” appears only once (verse 12), while the word “stand” appears four times — “stand against the wiles of the devil”, “withstand in the evil day”, “having done all, to stand”, “Stand therefore”. (Verses 11, 13–14) Four times the Holy Spirit tells us to stand. Yet, many Christians are focusing on wrestling their way to victory!
My friend, you are already on victory ground. You already have everything in Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:21, 23) You are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3) The devil knows this. And that is why his tactic is to deceive you and make you think that you don’t have the victory.
So when he attacks you by saying, “Look at that small sum in your bank account! How are you going to pay the bills?” stand your ground. Declare, “I am not trying to be rich, I am rich. In Christ, I am rich!” It doesn’t matter how much you have in the bank. You are rich because you are in Christ. And as the need arises, the supply will be there if you believe that you are already rich.
It is the same with healing. The devil will try to attack you with symptoms in your body. He will try to put pain in your body, and make you feel weak here and there, so that you think that you are still sick. He is trying to make you believe that you don’t have your healing. That is the time to be conscious of Jesus’ finished work and declare, “I am not trying to get healed, I am healed! I am standing on the victory ground which Jesus has given me!”
Beloved, it makes a world of difference when you fight from victory and not for victory!
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 8:4: "Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?" Also remember John's words in Revelations 5:10: "And (Jesus) hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." Our words have power; for we are kings and shall reign on the earth. Prophecy is a word of power spoken by one who's anointed of the Holy Spirit. Recognize this when you speak and your words will come to pass.
God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will. (Hebrews 2:4)
I will love You, O LORD, my strength.
Miracles are normal for the Kingdom. Jesus sent His disciples out and said: "Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you. And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.'"Before Christ, miracles were rare, being historic visitations of God. There were no gifts of healings for the blind, crippled or deaf. Outstanding people - such as David, Ezra, Nehemiah, Jeremiah, and Esther - never once witnessed a physical wonder, and some never experienced anything that they could call supernatural. Ezra never felt the moving of the Spirit - he never had a vision, a call, a voice or even an appointment as a prophet. He could trust the Word alone. Generally, the few signs and wonders that were seen, were demonstrations to reprove rulers, such as the despotic lords of Egypt, Babylon and Israel. These wonders were aimed at humbling them, as they did with Nebuchadnezzar. He was forced to admit that God's "dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His Kingdom is from generation to generation ... I, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven."
Usually such events were judgments, like the plagues of Egypt, But the higher qualities of Kingdom power were kindness and mercy. John the Baptist, the last of the Old Testament prophets, expected harsh judgment when the Messiah came. He spoke of the fire cleansing and burning up the chaff. But when Jesus baptized with fire rather than destruction and judgment, the blaze of love came. Jesus healed the sick. Jesus sent John the Baptist a message to show that His fire was His rage against the evils men suffered. He was the One who should come. The gifts of the Spirit are benevolent and kind. One of the chiefest of the Spirit-gifts is love: "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."Walk joyfully in God's love today.
Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come—all are yours. And you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
Here's a few verses I would like to share with you all-
Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
Proverbs 11:8 The righteous man is rescued from trouble, and it comes on the wicked instead.
Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Proverbs 3:23-26 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.
John 14:1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; TRUST ALSO IN ME"
Do not think about what you will say, for it will be given at that moment to you from the Holy One himself. ~Jesus Christ
