Oh-oh, there's that word 'clouds' again. The Rapturist is twitching right about now. Let's allow the two Angels of God (the two men stood in white apparel) to clarify what this means for us in the next verse:

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey. (KJV)
Does this say that they will someday be raptured up into a cloud to go to Jesus, or, does it say that Jesus shall RETURN to them the SAME way He left them on the earth, from the Mount of Olives at Jerusalem?

Incorrect.
Parable of the Fig Tree + Jer. 24 = prophetic fulfillment in 1948 - some would say 1967.

Peter was not talking to anyone at the time he wrote it. 1Peter was for the Elect at the time of the End of the Age.

No this verse does not say we will be raptured but 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 says:

[bible] Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the LORD's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the LORD himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we wil be with the LORD forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.[/bible]

Either this is a direct contradiction between two passages of scripture, (and would therefore give reason for people not to trust what the bible says) or these two passages speak about different events: A two part Second Coming in which the first part consists of Jesus coming to rapture his true Church, and the second part consists of Jesus returning to the Mount of Olives to set up his millenial kingdom immediately after The Tribulation.

What the heck is the purpose of Jesus coming to set up a "millenium kingdome

Everything is finished at the Last "Plague/Stripe" on Israel it seems.

It appears the "2 witnesses" might be the event of Pentecost as they are to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Jews and Israel. Hard to imagine them coming "again" to do the same thing. It would at least make sense to the Jews if they ever decide to study Daniel and Revelation. Thoughts?

Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and [one] sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Reve 11:4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies.
