Smile God Sure Does Love Us

God Sure Does Love Us!

This was going to be a short little testimony about something God did for me. Somehow I ended up not writing about it when I thought I should, but it seems that even that was for a reason. Because God took it and expanded it into much more than what I had intended to write.

Sometimes God will give us little blessings that can serve as a constant reminder about His Love for us.

God Blessed me one day with something that seems small, but it serves as a constant reminder to me about the greatness of His Love. I wish to share just how He did this.

I would climb into bed each night, and on our dresser there is a television set with a rabbit ear antenna sitting on top of it. One of the antenna on it sticks out from the dresser, and for some reason I started to worry what if my husband or I, got up in the middle of the night to let the dogs out or something and got hit in the eye with it. I know it seems like something so silly to worry about, I could just move the thing but then it would take forever to pull in the local news casts again. It was almost starting to interfere with my reading and study of Gods Word each night.

Well I decided to just pray about it, I told God there must be something I could place on the end of it so that I wouldn't have to worry. Then an antenna ball popped into my mind. I thanked God for the idea, then asked Him to help me remember to pick one up next time I was in an area where I could purchase one.

A couple days later my Husband and I got in the car to go somewhere. Before we drove off he had something to show me. It was an antenna ball that he had found in our driveway. Needless to say I was in Awe by this, God was the only one who knew anything about what I had been praying and thinking. I thought I knew who it might belong to, but my husband said it didn't matter because it was broken and would never stay on a car antenna. But it fits perfectly on the rabbit ears

Now when I climb into bed and reach for my Bible each night. I look up and see a yellow smiley face on the end of that antenna. I can't help but smile and think about How much God loves me as I start reading from His Word.

This was the extent of what I had planned to write about, but then God took and showed me something even more through His Word with it. And now I feel I must add it.

From the book of ISAIAH

55:8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

As you may have noticed when the antenna ball came to my mind I thanked God for it. My thoughts and way of getting it was to go out and buy one. But that was not what God had in mind. He was simply telling me what He was going to do for me before He did it. Even the way this came about being written is a perfect example of the above scripture. I had my way that I had planned on writing it, then God gave me something more to go along with it.

55:10
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

When God showers us with blessings such as this. He is watering us with Living waters, so we can bear good fruit. And when we share it with others we are acting as sowers, and giving bread in a sense to those that need it.

55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God has added His Word to this. It will accomplish whatever He wants it to. And He will make sure it's sent to where He wants it to go.

55:12
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

When we busy ourselves doing what God has set us out to do, the joy we feel inside feels pretty much like the above scripture states, and even more.

55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Our job is to bear good fruit, when fruit is good it will produce good seed. By producing good seed others are led to Jesus, and the Lords harvest will be plentiful. The fruit that we must bear is simply sharing freely with others what God has given to us. May we forever sow the seeds needed to produce a good crop.

And as for that antenna ball. Well I look at it every morning and every night. And each time I do it is as if God is telling me in His own way, that He Loves me.

Heavenly Father, It is my hearts desire that everyone would come to know just how much you truly Love them. That everyone would experience the joy of salvation that only You can give. May we all learn to better follow Your ways, instead of our own. That we may continually be about doing Your work, and sowing seed that is good. I Thank You for granting us the desires of our hearts Lord. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

This is really some good stuff. I could perhaps add a book to this. But instead, I will simply say, Amen, Praise The Lord! Your prayer is simple and anointed and one I whole heartedly stand in agreement with.

Thanks for posting this. This is one of the rare posts I wish everyone in these forums could read, and realize how Great out God is. Just to think that the Almighty Creator of all there is, loves us enough to be concerned with the smallest details of our lives. WOW!
