Because He Lives

God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus,
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Saviour lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
and feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight lifes final war with pain;
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.

Because He lives I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future.
And live is worth the living just because He lives.


Father, as we enter in to a new calendar year of service to You, help us to understand that all we are, and all we ever hope to be as well as all we do and have done and ever hope to do is all because He lives. We do not serve a dead Jesus, but a Mighty, Strong, Victorious, and Living Jesus, and we know that without Him, we can do nothing.

Help us to see that not only can we face tomorow, because He lives, but that we can also face today, with it's many challenges and opportunities, and that through Him we can do all things.

In the Sweet, Precious, Awesome, Loving Name of Jesus, we give You thanks and Praise and Glory and Honor, both this day and forever. Amen.

Amen! But there is something you, may not realize. It is not only for you to learn, but to teach. You have taught others that it is possible to smile and encourage others and demonstrate the love of Jesus, even in the midst of great personal discomfort and pain. Please stay here and continue to spread the Joy you started spreading so long ago. The day is short and the night is coming when we willl no longer be able to work. Lets give it all we have for His Glory! Now!

Amen Dave! I have so many "favorite songs" and this is certainly one of them. This one so sums it all up for me. Our very existence PROVES Christ lives, because it is "in Him we live, and move, and have our being", according to Acts 17:28.

And yes, Lord, mold me, and make me, and use me for Your Glory!
