Daphne took her sweet time getting ready for bed, waiting for Roberta to slip under the covers before she even entered the room. Humming one of the dance tunes softly to herself, she managed to unlace her dress, breathing in a quiet sigh of relief as the vise around her ribs loosened. The dress was thrown carelessly over the backrest of a chair for a maid to take away, and a nightgown was soon put over it's place around Daphne's body.
Next went the hair pins, each one clicking quietly against the bourdoire as Daphne set her hair free. One hundred quick strokes and soon her hair was restored from kinky shapes to its natural flow. Climbing in next to her twin sister, Daphne sighed once more. What a night.

Roberta slowly opened her eyes. For a moment, whe wasn't sure where she was. She was sitting in an odd position, and wasn't in bed. She tried lifting her head, but a sharp pain shot through it. Now she remembered; she'd fallen alseep at the window. With a soft sigh, she sat up straight. The sun had already risen, and was getting a bit high.
A knock suddenly sounded at the door.
"Roberta?" asked the voice of her brother, Heath. "Are you awake?"
Roberta drapped her robe around her and went to the door.
"I am now." she teased.
He smiled and kissed her forehead.
"You best get dressed and ready to go, for you don't want to eat a cold breakfast."
Roberta rolled her eyes and smiled. She nodded and shut the door again. Yes, yes, you must get ready to go. she thought sarcastically. With a deep sigh, she ran to her closet to find what dress she'd wear. Not really caring whoms he pleased, but wanting to look nice, she picked a pretty peach dress with short sleeves. After putting it on, she sent for the maid to do her hair. I wonder what Daphne is thinking right now?

Roberta sat at her vanity, and looked at her reflection in the mirror. A maid suddenly came in and frantically started babbling on and on about how the cook forgot to make her and Daphne's breakfast. Roberta smiled.
"Calm down Bessy. Cook wasn't supposed to make breakfast for Daphne and I, for we're going to Mr. Tevis' home for breakfast today."
Bessy smiled and curtsied. Although she was loved by all three of the Carver's, she was a wory wort. Still, with silence she walked to Roberta's chair and, quicker than any of the other maids, pulled Roberta's hair up fancily. About that time, Roberta realized she'd not seen her sister all morning.
"Bess, where's Daphne?"
"She's still in bed there, miss."
Roberta turned and held in a chuckle; sure enough, Daphne was still asleep. How Roberta managed to wake and not see her still in bed was a mystery. The humored twin stood to her feet and walked over to her sister.
"Daphne, if you do not get up we'll be late and then Mr. Tevis won't show us his library."

William sluggishly woke up . Still droswy and dazed from last night. He cast off his blankets and pillows, and head out his door down the hall and stopped in his dinning room. Where waited for his breakfast. Still dazing off into knowhere william just looked at the wood staine on his table. His head was pounding and his feet ached. "What a night", he said out loud to himself. Suddenly he heard a large thump, it sounded like somebody collapsing on the floor. It shocked him out of his daze. He jumped to his feet and ran up stairs to where the thump was heard. He ran into his study where a woman in rags was collapsed on the floor.
Daphne groaned and seemed about ready to pull the covers over her tousled head when Roberta mentioned the library. "Library?" One eye opened. Library... Mr. Tevis? Ah yes! Groaning like an old man, she pulled herself up and sat on the edge of the bed.
"I hate parties only because I'm always so tired when they end. I could have slept 'til noon." Daphne wearily rubbed her face and stood, stumbling towards her wardrobe. "Can someone fix me some breakfast? I'll never be able to wake up until I'm fed."

"What? Breakfast there? Oh no, Roberta, he only offered a tour, not a meal." Daphne said as she reached into her closet. Out came a very pretty yet sensible cream gown. Short sleeved with laces and inlaid pearls, it suited both her complexion and figure nicely. She would look pretty, but without too much finery to get in her way.

"Heath said that Mr. Tevis would expect to dine with him this morning. And seeing as it is quite late already, we should probably hurry along, and get on our way." she said. "I will go down and tell Charles to have to carriage ready in ten minutes."
